Maybe....maybe not. Think depth perception is more important than the whole pop out in your face thing is. Master that and i will be sold. |

Maybe if they hit that brick wall fast enough they'll break through it...
I'd buy a 3d tv! |

I agree - depth perception.. i've played the little big planet demo to death im waiting for my EMA before I can afford it and I cant imagine how much better it'd be with depth perception.
Little big planet 2 - Depth perception + 3D + Sonys magic wand?
Sold, to the man posting this |

Okay, humour me here guys (and the occasional girl)... but with this 3d tv stuff, will it run on 1080p LCD telly's or will it need to be the uber-expensive LED ones... or will they just release new 3d telly's??
I've been looking at new telly's recently and don't wanna buy one that 3d wont work on!! |

Think it needs to be 120mhz to cope with the 2 sets of lines (left eye and right eye). |

I would like some information on this.
I want to replace my current HD screen for a future proof 3D one. I am looking at the LEDs, and have found some that run at at least a 120hz. Is that all i need? _________________ PSN: H0P5

What I've heard is that you will be able to buy an addon that will allow you to watch 3D on any 1080p (not 720p) HD telly that can chuck out 120Hz (doesn't have to be LED). You'll have to buy special glasses that blank out each eye alternately, so you get the effect of 2 different 60Hz images in each eye. You'll also need an IR-emitter to ensure that the flashing signal on the TV is in-sync with the glasses.
Alternatively you can wait for a 3DTV which apparently won't require glasses, but sounds very sketchy to me. _________________ XBL: aLTiTuDe

would a 200hz telly work for this? I'm looking at some now, if you only need 120hz, seems logical 200hz would work too, but.... _________________ PSN BillDoor1975 |

That's is the question. My guess is that it can adjust downwards to that of the source, but I wouldn't want anyone buying one on my limited understanding. You're better off waiting to see what the requirements are. _________________ XBL: aLTiTuDe

Decent 3d tellies won't b out for ages and the special specs u need cost 140 quid. Has any of u lot watched any 3d stuff that has been out on the tellies over the past couple of months? Chuck, t4. The quality was cow dung. Gave me a headache within 5 mins of watching it. Absoute tosh. I know the 3d tellies will b better than that. But I think we are a little way off yet before the decent ones come out! I'd give it 4 to 10 years before we get decent stuff! |
