US Nintendo boss Reggie Fils-Aime has been discussing the firm's Christmas and said that he thinks it will be tough to beat last year's Wii performance.
"The third year in a generation is typically the strongest and Nintendo is in its fourth with Wii," he said. "Last year was a record year for the Wii hardware business so it's going to be really tough for us to lap those numbers but we're having a great holiday season so far."
When asked about reintroducing new products to keep the consumer engaged, Reggie replied, "We constantly innovate on the software front."
The female anchor failed to press Reggie about when we might expect new hardware. Instead she pretended to play Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, which you can read our review of here.
The old people that bought one last year are dead from the cold or suffering from wii enduced arthritis, so old people this year are getting second hand ones and there's no profit in that!
People who aren't old are bored of thousands upon thousands of ridiculous mini games and will trade it in, then an old person will buy it and die.
Haha good troll action. I'm not going to say anything so inflamatory but the wii's glory days do seem to be over. It'll still be the biggest selling console in the history of consoles but this year will be dominated by the HD consoles with their new motion controls. I think PS3 will be crowed the winner of 2010 this time next year
I'm pretty sure i read last night that the wii had a better christmas this year than last, I'm not sure about the sales figures for the full year though.
whats with all the hate for the wii anyhow? ive had one since launch, and i think its great to learn how to play with a different set-up,
So much so that iv'e been playing modern warfare reflex for wii rather than mw2 on my ps3, the speed of eveything is just alot faster from the controls to the gameplay. id say i play reflex about 4x as fast as i can play mw2, Its also extreamly rare to c campers on it, So it makes it far less frustrating when you die its not some toss bag hiding in a corner hoping for someone to respawn, but more about steady aim and fast reactions, which i think alot of you miss the point when the graphics aren't telling you it's awesome you dont bother playing and you'll just go to megacritic etc to prove your point. lol rant over

I am thinking of picking up Reflex at some point. I have just completed MW2 and the single player while being quite enjoyable, was not as good as CoD4. I am just glad I borrowed a copy for the PC and not paid for it. I would have felt a little ripped off
