Capcom has puts the brakes on releases of Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV and Monster Hunter Tri because it's scared of the other big games in the playground.
Word of the dealys has come from a Japanese Capcom investor document which states that the games have been plucked from the companmy's fiscal fourth quarter (ends March 31) in order to avoid the competition.

Games affected include biggies such as Dead Rising 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Lost Planet 2 and the North American and European release of Monster Hunter 3 in Wii. They'll now be spread out across all four quarters" of Capcom's fiscal 2011.
Has Capcom done the right thing in taking its games and running to the hills 'till it quietens down out there? Probably.
Well I guess in away its good news for us gamers as the amount of AAA titles due out next year maybe we will have a good choice of games in the summer next year then as usually not much out during the summer. Looking forward to Lost Planet.
Due to the nature of gamer's wanting the 'next thing' games that get overlooked at launch tend to stay that way.
It's definately the wise approach although I would've definatley preferred super streetfighter 4 sooner. I guess Blazblue will have to do if it does get released in February.
Bit gutted about Lost Planet 2....had a go of the demo last night and I have to say I rather enjoyed it!...can't remember the last time I fought a creature so large on screen...mental..
I'm not really bothered when these games come out, but if Capcom had any confidence that they were AAA titles then they wouldn't be running scared of so many other games
