To be honest I tire of all these sale charts, as a consumer sales mean nothing to me, the only affect they have is on the likelyhood of a sequel, but again the games I usually like don't make charts anyway.

Oh and I'm not surprised one bit about mw2, most hyped game in history so it's bound to do well.

There is a word missing from that. I'm sure there should be an "over" in there, probably just before "hyped". Wink

LOL if these were separated in individual platforms, all those Wii titles would be top.

Modern warfare 2 is a good game, reviews agree. Haters need to go and suck some more big ones and not worry about games.

I'm afraid the game charts has now gone the same way that the music chart has, cluttered up with pop garbage with only a few golden nuggets slipping through but to be honest it doesn't bother me that much. (I buy the games/music that I like and no chart list will make my choice for me and as for sequels in my view the first is always the best)

Gamers have been wanting to be part of the mainstream for a long time so over the last few years it's happened so my suggestion is to embrace it.

why is it most gamers can never be satisfied? Rolling Eyes

Well they matter to publishers, developers and retailers, and everyone in between. They shape future budget strategies, which dictate what platforms and genres are supported in the future, (new franchises still have to be funded).

So, as a consumer, these sales charts should mean everything to you, unless you plan on taking up another pass time(like knitting).
