This week's XBLA releases

Sorry, we've never heard of them...
Microsoft's Major Nelson has sent word of what's gone live for Xbox Live Arcade this week. There's nothing to get excited about this week (apart from the Trails HD DLC) but you might think differently. Let us know in the comments below.

0 Day Attack On Earth
Price: 1200 Microsoft Points
Availability: All Xbox LIVE regions
Dash Text: Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB Seven days that will determine the fate of humanity now begin... Join mankind's struggle against massive invaders as they converge on the world's major cities. In battles set over actual areas in modern metropolitan cities, take flight in one of 8 futuristic aircraft as you help repel these humongous enemies.

With more than 20 stages covering 3 cities, this dual joystick shooter becomes a truly worldwide effort when you work together with friends over Xbox LIVE. Play with up to 4 people simultaneously on co-op or 8 people on versus modes. Save Earth. Join the fight.

Polar Panic
Price: 800 Microsoft Points
Availability: All Xbox LIVE regions
Dash Text: With the full game, play through 50 challenging levels and battle Mr Big in Story Mode. Work your way through all 50 of the fiendish block based puzzles.

Survive against never ending waves of trappers in Survivor Mode. Play on your own or with 2-4 players against the trappers and each other in Kills, Points or Last Man Standing variations. This game requires the Xbox 360 hard drive or the 512MB Memory Unit for storage.

Attack on Earth looks quite good from what ive played on trial but think I'm gonna get Alien Breed that came out last week, and where the hell is Quake Arena for XBLA they promised it would be with us before xmas Sad
Talking of disapointment just looking at the related content----------------->
What ever happened to Kart Attack that was coming to XBLA...CVG any news on this or Quake?
NEOnburN9 on 23 Dec '09
True. Any news on Joy Ride? Perfect Dark? Serious Sam?
SoulChimera on 23 Dec '09
kart attack was canned when blimey went into administartion and as for the others early 2010, joyride is going to be insane, and quake arena shud be out in the summer lol
dorian2011 on 23 Dec '09
If joy ride is the free avatar racing game I get the feeling it will be the present behind door number one of the 14 gifts they are giving away up to new year.
wando77 on 24 Dec '09
Perfect Dark was most recently quoted as being a "winter" release, so my guess would be before the end of February.

One of those UK Inside Xbox editor snooker cues has just said it will be early 2010.

By the way CVG, didn't 0 Day Attack On Earth get quite a lot of coverage at E3? I remember reading quite a bit about it back then.
SoulChimera on 24 Dec '09
The 'snooker cues' had stated that the trials dlc wasn't out til the 30th too, although that turned out to be bollox.
