Ubisoft's released a co-op reveal trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction.
The new game mode has you and a mate teaming up for several unique missions set before Sam Fisher's main storyline. You play as agents Kestrel and Archer, who are described as a bit of an odd couple pairing.
Really looking forward to this game, Co-op doesn't mean anything to me, I thought the MP in Double agent was pointless too. The sooner developers wake up & realise that gamers don't want a MP experience on every! game the better *Bioshock 2 im looking at you*

I agree, I love single player gaming more than multiplayer gaming but I have to say that I thought Double Agents online modes were great fun. I've spent countless hours playing them with my mates. It's something completely different to your normal death match type stuff.
But yeah, in general, I wish more companies would just leave multiplayer modes out of it. I hope they don't try and stick one into Batman Arkham Asylum 2 aswell.

Actually Splinter Cell has pretty much always had a multiplayer component since number 2 (I think? May have been Chaos Theory)... Although I agree multiplayer on Bioshock 2 is utterly pointless and something no fan of the game ever wanted, I don't think Splinter Cell falls into the same catagory.
I personally love playing co-op, much more than competitive online, and for me this looks like a juicy cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake.
This is shaping up to be another GOTY contender if you ask me, everything I have seen looks awesome, and I LOVE Splinter Cell. Can't wait!
I'm glad that they've created a seperate and unique co-op campaign (unlike say CoD: WaW) or just made the co-op experience based on levels from the single player game (like MW2).
Not that there's anything wrong with those kinds of gametypes but it's good to have something difference for once
