Since we had a spell of members signing up just to send out spammy messages to other members I coded something that flags up any account that sends out more then a certain amount of messages per day.

This has flagged up a few accounts that send out sometimes over 50 messages at a time.

I wanted to avoid putting a limit of the sending of messages via the contact form but I think this is something that ill have to do.

The problem is that its a constant battle to keep our email address out of spam lists as this causes all sorts of problems for people trying to join the site and use it legitimately. Sending out unsolicited messages to other members while it may be useful or innocent does end up with our IP on some of these lists. Not only that but it also annoys those people that dont want to be sent an email by you.

The contact form is not the best solution to being able to contact other members but until we have a private message system in place it will have to do.

All I ask then at the moment is use the contact form responsibly and dont bombard people with messages.

If things dont change then I'll have to limit the amount of messages you can send in a day to maybe 5 or 10 or even zero until you have been a member for a certain amount of time. There is also a case for adjusting the code so that it bans any member who manages to go over the limit in a set amount of time.

Anyway, I would rather not change anything so we'll see how it pans out

	I usually get E-Mailed by users telling me that they have used 1 of my samples etc. Maybe a limit of 5-10 like you said should do the trick :) Great job on laying everything out Looperman!

	I think this is a good idea. One member especially comes to mind. I've received at least 5 different emails a bout a contest I am really not interested in joining. I think one if any is sufficient. Seems to me things like that should be kept in the forums. Sent sent as contact messages.
