If Japanese retailer listings are anything to go by, Sony's planning a reprint for Shadow of the Colossus which, by the way, is one of the best games ever made. Fact.
According to reports, major Japanese retailers have the PS2 classic down for a February 4 reprint.

We're all secretly hoping Sony gives it a God of War-style PS3 makeover, but a re-run of the PS2 original is cool enough, and you should jump at the chance to play this Team Ico stunner before their next game, The Last Guardian, is out in 2010 (video of that above). We've asked Sony if a reprint is planned for UK.
I'd happily shell out for a God of War Collection style HD re-release of Ico and SotC for PS3. I wouldn't even mind if it was only 480p as long as they improved the framerate had some anti-aliasing.
I'd love this as i got SotC when i got my original PS3 but it was one of those games that didn't run too well with graphical glitch's abound. Then the PS3 went t**s up so i never got the chance to get into it when it got replaced with a 80gb one.
I had no idea that it became delisted. I've had loads of copies of SotC that I bought at carboot sales for a couple of quid then sold them on ebay for £30 each. That and Ico, and yet, I've never played them.
I vow that the next copies of each of those games to land on my lap will be played to completion. Amen.
Maybe i'm being stupid here or having a blondde moment but when you say reprint, do you mean ps2 re-release? PS3 HD physicalrelease or as a psn downloadable title? Either way I'm in seeing as I never played the game first time around.
ive read in multiple online places (10+), its re-releasing on PS2. not like GOW...non-HD update, which sucks, cause already hav it, id love a HD update
Weird timing, as I just bought this on eBay a week ago for £20. (Anyone paying 30 or 40 has to be a mug. £20 was the going rate for each of the many copies being sold.)
I'll grant that some parts were just epic, but you also have to admit that some of the later Colossi were just downright contrived. I had more fun playing the first few than I did with the last.
I'm pretty sure the studio itself said they would not do it coz they arent big enough but maybe it will be handed over to someone else like god of war was if I'm not mistaken.
Never played the original but it recieved very high praise and I would be very tempted to pick this up if it was in native HD.However, why do most developers feel the need to release every god-dam game in Febuary, right after xmas when everyone is skint??? Its the most stupid, inconveininent time of the year for a game release.
ICO & SotC were true art masterpieces on the grandest level. The Last Guardian is my most anticipated game of all time & I have no doubt it will be Ueda-san's magnum opus. (Please bless us with a full-fledged art book!).
Come on Team ICO, pull your finger out and make this available on PS3. If you do then it will definitely force me to buy one before the year is up. SotC in HD would be a sight to behold.
