Empire: Total War DLC live

RTS update out via Steam
The first downloadable content for Creative Assembly RTS, Empire: Total War, is now available via Steam today.

The DLC adds 14 new unit types and "the implementation of multi-threading, which will significantly benefit players that use multi-core processors. In addition to this, the update greatly improves performance on single core machines."

Must say it is a pretty good price for DLC too at only 1.99. Think I shall be buying this!

Nice of them to provide us with a further 14 units totally free too mind!

yeah the units are nice, but will i have to pay 1.99 just to get the game fixed?

No you dont have to pay 2 quid for the game fixes its just the extra units that cost, steam updates the game as soon as you open it.

I chose not to buy the SE just to get a map and some extra units for an additional 10 quid. Likewise, I have no intention of paying extra money for a measly 14 units. I subjected India and the Americas to my unquestioned rule without those 14 units, and had I had more time Europe would have been next, thank you very much!

The patches should be free and I trust they will be; as another poster put it, why should we pay for them to fix their game? Never! The 14 new units could be interesting but I do not consider them worth 1.99 GBP. Keep them you charlatans! It's bad enough you bamboozled me in to buying a game that requires hours worth of online downloads and activation despite being shipped with two DVDs! I'm glad I sent the developers a scathing e-mail telling them I'm done buying their products. Goodbye and good riddance!
