Ubisoft has confirmed that two batches of downloadable content will be released for Assassin's Creed II early next year for PS3 and Xbox 360.
The first slice of DLC will come in the form of the "Battle of Forli," which is due to be released via XBLA and PSN in January 2010. This will then be swiftly followed by a second slice, "Bonfire of the Vanities", in February.
"Nothing has been announced yet in regard to the PC version of Assassin's Creed II," Ubisoft told Blue's News.

Pricing or further details for the DLC are being kept under wraps for the moment. But Ubisoft has said that you'll need around 1GB of space for each piece of downloadable content. Time for a clean out for some of you then.
nice cant wait even tho i havent played ac2 yet, and christmas present . i havent even played cod mw2 yet, thats a birthday present which is on friday is anyone wants to no
Finished ACII last night - can't wait for more! If they're a gig each, they'd better be good. I'd rather they get to work on the third one though - another bloody cliffhanger!

ye i finished it yesterday too, was a wonderful game, yet i got so much to do still, i left the assassination/courier contracts/races and beat em up events till after the story, stil gota collect the treasures/feathers/art etc! they've started on third one before the 2nd was released guarenteed and left the dlc to a small team of programmers or whatever, I wouldn't be surprised if they were well into AC3 production and well see it in early 2011 maybe! fingers crossed
Great game overall I thought - apart from the bloody feather collecting. When will game companies learn that these are just a pain - GTA4, Red Faction (god that was annoying), Prototype and now this. All great games - sort of in the case of Prototype - let down by pointless collecting exercises that no-one ever manages unless they buy a guide or look at the internet.
Perhaps that's the point - perhaps they include these exercises to sell game guides. Hmmm!
Batman on the other hand, I thought had a fair collecting system that rewarded you for finding everything, didn't make it too hard and made it interesting.
The older GTA games had a good reward for the hidden packages, after every 10 you unlocked a new weapon at your safehouse. But AC2 feathers are pretty pointless. By the end of the game once you have all armour and weapons you dont need a steady income from the villa.
My point is that there must be a better way of upgrading your villa and helping your poor mother (personally I couldn't give a damn for her) than by trudging round the rooftops looking for 100 feathers. Some innovation is needed on these collect type quests. It is just boring and a waste of time.
The 20 or so puzzles / 6 tombs / 8 statues were fine though. They should have left it at that.
I do love this game - though after just 8 days of renting I've got 960 achievment points - and I'm not even an achievement wh0re! I've just got to collect the feathers and wear that cape and I'm done.
I've not got many 1000/1000 games so I'm actually putting in the effort to find all the feathers. How sad!
I think they've got the achievements all wrong. They are too easy to get and they also don't reward you for obvious things that you don't HAVE to do (at all) to progress the game! Like synchronising at every high point (I did the last 10 just for my own satisfaction!); assassination contracts, beat up events, the letters events, the treasure chests.
I don't know - brilliant game, but not even 2 weeks of renting and I'm virtually finished with it completely. The DLC will be very welcome if long enough though!
Don't you need to collect the feathers to get the Auditore cape? Anyone who wants the full 1000pts/platinum trophy will need to get them and tbh the feather collecting seems to be about the hardest one to get.
Fantastic game though, just goes to show what a decent mission structure can do as the basic gameplay has practically unchanged from the first game but you don't feel like your doing the same thing over and over.

If you get 50 you unlock the last weapon and at 100 you get the cape
It's also annoying that most of the time you can only see the feathers clearly at night... during the day white feathers are hard to see against a bright sky.

What I did was turn the brightness up in the options menu by to 7 then used the Eagle vision then you can see the feathers miles away because they glow bright white works good for finding the 8 statues in your villa town as well.
Can anyone help with one of the tombs? I know where it is, it's in Venice in the fortified palace place but the only time I've managed to get in is during the assassination after the flight section. Is there another way in or do you have to do it at that one point? I'm probably missing something really simple
