Yeah, they're especially crap at releasing you if they're right up close.
This is on the 360, but recently I've found L4D and L4D2 to be so slow and have awful connections. 20MB cable and decent speeds/ping on everything else, but just the L4Ds are becoming a real chore as sometimes it can take an age to find a game that's playable.
Also they need to patch the Charger as I got knocked out of the map on the Sugar Mill level, and I'm sure the Charger can do it on other levels too. I ended up behind a fence with blocking volumes preventing me from throwing myself into the void. I had to wait for 5 horde attacks before I got one where the zombies climbed over the fence and killed me. I didn't want to restart the campaign so I waited patiently
Valve better fix their damn servers, its getting ridiculous trying to find a versus match only to be hit by lag then get booted out.
I know its not just me as its all over the Steam Forums (in the 360 part).
That's on the 360 version?
It p**sed me off abit as L4D/2 takes up the majority of my online gaming time but I only managed one game with 3 bars of ping and everyone else who joined as we went through it had 1 or 2, so they left due to lag, so there ended up being me on my own vs two others. When I look at everyone's ping in game, so many times they are all one red bar - it's becoming a joke.
It's only L4D/2. I played bomberman straight after as it was to frustrating and had full ping, no problems.
Yeah, the only time I can truly play L4D 2 is with people on my friends list using local servers (Xbox turns into a server), every time else I am hit with massive lag.
