Final Fantasy CC: Crystal Bearers release date

Wii Crystal Chronicles out in February
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers has been dated for Wii for February 5, 2010.

The new Chronicles instalment "opens up a whole new style of game design never experienced in previous FF: CC games," says Square Enix, including open-world game design, real-time battles and "action-based gameplay".

Because we know you care, the story goes like this: "A young mercenary name Layle, a crystal bearer, has been hired to escort the new passenger airship Alexis, the pinnacle of Lilty technology and a symbol of their current dominance.

"However, when the Alexis is suddenly besieged by a horde of monsters, Layle comes face to face with an adversary thought to have vanished from the pages of history, on a quest that may threaten the future of the world..."

Square Enix's Larry Sparks said: "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers is a unique addition to the series and one which will appeal to FINAL FANTASY fans and to Wii owners with a thirst for an epic and immersive adventure. We look forward to releasing the game across PAL territories."

Great, I've had my eye on this for the last six or so months, always nice when a good game pops up for the Wii, can't wait.

Since I'm selling my 360 tomorrow, I'll be able to concentrate on all the good Wii games coming next spring and onwards (well, even January with Tatsunoko Vs Capcom) and then get my PS3 arond this time next year all being well
