DJ Hero enters charts at... number 20

Football Manager 2010 dominates charts as DJ Hero disappoints
DJ Hero has entered the UK all format charts at a disappointing number 20.

DJ Hero's slow start probably won't come as a surprise to Activision, which recently said it wasn't anticipating a "traditional sales curve" for the game... which probably has something to do with it being £90.

For the week ending October 31, Football Manager 2010 took the number one slot followed closely by fellow new release Wii Fit Plus and FIFA 10.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City entered at number six, while Tekken 6 debuted in eighth place.

Again, its good to see some strong 'Games' in the Top 10.

I wonder what the difference was with people downloading TBOGT and those buying the disc at retail?

Wouldn't surprise me if - were they to add the downloaded sales of TBoGT to this - it were number 1....after all, lots of people have already bought half of the retail pack.

No surprise with DJ Hero either - it's the price, nothing else really. I've heard that it is damn good fun (and most of the reviews seem to agree on that), but it was never going to generate the kind of sales that something like GH5 would - nothing to do with musical tastes, but mostly because so many people already have a guitar and will buy the 'Solus' edition. Anyone wanting to play DJ Hero have to fork out £80 straight off.

Actually, I wonder what the sales are like for GH/RB if you compare the Solus and Package versions? - I bet the Solus version sales have rocketed over the past couple.

DJ Hero is the sort of game that I would like to try, but wouldn't pay £90 for.

Any chance I can nip round yours for a blast, Wacy?

Your probably right there Parma, I know there were quite a few on my Friends list playing it over the weekend and im pretty sure the just downloaded it as well.

As for DJ Hero, whilst I like the idea of it, at this time of the year its the equivalent to 2 brand new Games. I dont think I want it that much.

I'm sure they won't lose any sleep over that.

I do wish people would give Nintendo a break over things like WiiFit - they were a company that could have dropped out of the console race last gen, so - if they need to release things like WiiFit and appeal to the masses in order to keep them in the market - it can only be a good thing.

The way I see it - no WiiFit, no Mario, Zelda or any of the others.

To be honest, I couldn't really care less what other people buy - it's their money. Plus, a lot of people enjoy WiiFit, but couldn't care less about the likes of COD or GTA.....more power to them, I say.

Besides, Cheryl Cole is at number one in the charts - I'd say that's a far better indicator of taste and intelligence.

I don't understand the attraction with Cheryl Cole - she's orange, she's basically a chav with a very expensive stylist (style icon? - Christ, this is the girl that would no doubt still be wearing tracksuits and hoop earings if she didn't get outside help), she has zero talent, her music sucks and she obviously has the worst taste in men possible.

Don't get me started on the likes of Katie Price.....vile, vile waste of air.

Well i've got wii fit plus, It's a good sequel to the original as it builds on everything the first one did well.

but the thing that interests me the most about the new one is the obstacle course as it is basically a very active version of mario.

There's a lot of stuff in both sports and fit that i could see being used in more core games.

the sword fighting, archary and canooeing in sports resort instantly jump out ofr me as a tech demo for future zelda games.

likewise the afformentioned obstacle course and snowboarding/ skiing in wiifit could be concepts for a future mario and 1080 game.

scrathc beneath the surface and its a treasure trove of proof of concept tech demos.

These games are helping the development of the others in terms of funding and giving us a glimpse of what could be next for are favourite nintendo series.

You just need to use your imagination a little bit. Something i feel that some modern gamers are sorely lacking.

Well, I've left a message with Nintendo, saying:

'Please let me know when you have made a full game out of all these tech demo's. Thanks.'

There’s no denying she’s very good looking, even if you don’t personally find her attractive you have to admit that! Admittedly I would want her to have a few more pie meals to put a bit more weight back on, avoid talking at all costs, and get rid of the frankly awful tattoos, but I still think she’s cracking!

Her music is pony, but I wouldn’t want her to sing to me, all talent required would be to move around a bit rhythmical like, and as for her taste in men? Well it would give me great pleasure to do the dirty on Ashley Cole!

I think I’m always attracted to chav type birds though (even ones that have been papered over) as it reminds me of the girls in my hometown area, and any action I got at school, that was massive hoop heaven.

And as for Jordan...agreed.

I'd love to play some kind of game where the end of level bosses were some of the insipid celebrities we have here in the UK.

Perhaps some kind of Manhunt where you hunt down the likes of Piers Morgan or Coldplay?

'Not so smug now, are we Piers?!?'
