God of War III director Stig Asmussen says "it would make a lot of sense" to release downloadable Challenge Rooms for Kratos' upcoming PS3 quest.
"It would make a lot of sense to be able to download them. That's something we might see in the future," he said when asked about Challenge Rooms in the new game.

"So, maybe you'll see the game ship with a certain amount of challenges on it, then later on, we might put a download pack out with new challenges. It's a good way to keep the series going."
But don't expect any Resi 5-style multiplayer diversions, though. "I'm a huge Resident Evil fan, but I got two hours into Resident Evil 5, and I wasn't playing multiplayer, either. I stopped playing, which I've never done before," explained Asmussen.
"With God of War 3, there's a story we want to tell and an experience we want to deliver, and multiplayer doesn't fit into that," Asmussen told GamePro.
Here's some new screens of the game, which look like they may have been captured from a trailer (more here).
No multiplayer, you foooool. The game's guaranteed to be awesome, but no multiplayer?!?! Guh! Look at Gears of war and Uncharted 2, both awesome, and the multiplayer compliments both massively, single player challenge rooms for more money? I definitely do not doth my cap to you sir.
I couldn't see MP working in Gow anyway, they'd have to introduce a second playable character that nobody would really know about or care about at this stage. Maybe if there had been a NPC that followed him through the first 2 installments it might work but the combat in GoW has always been pretty hectic and the Blades of Athena/Chaos have always been a weapon that fill a large portion of the screen, it'd make it pretty hard to see who was doing what. Just keep it single player.

Could someone please explain what this quote means? I am confused what Stig Asmussen is trying to convey.
I've not even played the first 2 but know enough about it to know it doesn't need MP but either way its lost a point or two in reviews coz of it. pity really why everything has to have some form of MP tacked on or people get p**sy. DLC maybe good.

Does he like "Resident Evil 5"? I'm not sure.
Thanks.
BFN,

I thought it was obvious what he's trying to say, he's an RE fan (like a lot of people), but he was disappointed with RE5 and didn't bother finishing it (like a lot of people).
