Dark Void, that of Crimson Skies dev Airtight, has been taken back to the drawing board for a new release in 2010.
By the sounds of it, the slip could be a good thing. The developer's decided to divert its focus more towards what it does best; aerial combat, with new hovering manoeuvres incorporated into the game and annoying mid-air collisions sorted out for the final game.
If these screenshots are anything to go by Void's also looking a slight less... 'grimy'. We just hope that after all of these delays it actually turns out to be a game worth waiting for.

I'm actually looking forward to this! Crimson skies was pretty awesome and I can't think of many games that wouldn't benefit from the inclusion of jetpacks.
That's right, next gen games ALL need jet packs. Even golf games...

Especially golf games.
Now that might actually entice me to buy a golf game!
This is the sort of game that really needs a pre release demo. Capcom have a crazy schedule for next year, just give me Lost Planet 2 and Ill be on my way.
Btw, does anyone else find that the alien robots are reminiscent of Mass Effect's Geth? Speaking of ME, the over-the-shoulder combat camera also reminds me of ME. This isn't a bad thing necessarily, it's just that they look similar.
