EA's FIFA 10 has topped the UK all formats chart for a third week running.
The football title - which EA has labelled "the fastest selling sports game ever" - held off competition from PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to head the rankings during the week ended October 17.

It'd take a mighty effort to dislodge Fifa. Remember that not only is it one of the biggest sellers it also comes out on nearly every format available. I don't really see anything taking it over until another huge multi-platform like MW2 is released.
i think 2nd place is the most Uncharted can hope for when its been released so close to 2 behemoths like Fifa and MW2, plus there'll be PES to deal with as well.
Kudos to Naughty Dog though, they've made a game that deserves to be number 1 even if it never gets there.
Uncharted 2 is amazing. The first game in about ten years that glued me to my telly for 4 hours on day of purchase. Amazing controls, characters and story, not to mention the graphics.
Take note of this game MGS and Res evil, both those games would have been winners (for me) if they payed more attention to the mechanics and movement, creeping around a corner in U2 with gun drawn is a joy and should of been a feature in RES5.
This is proper next gen, reminds me of the jump from Snes to Playstation.
Cant get into Fifa, Im sure its good but was bought up on PES so not gonna fail Konami.
only played the first half hour of Uncharted last night after finishing Brutal Legend. God damn is that one amazing opening.
I would also urge everyone that's got Uncharted to get brutal Legend as well. It was quality from start to finish. Screw MW2, i think the two best games of the year were released last friday.
I pre ordered Uncharted 2 about a month ago and it only arrived this morning. Royal mail are so ****, just glad it's here now and I can join in the fun.
Good luck trying to get games over Christmas when they hire a army of 30,000 temps who don't know what they're doing and are probably pinching half the mail.
Fair enough FIFA is multi platform and a huge franchise that always tops the charts so to be expected. However Uncharted 2 is one of if not the best game I have ever played and will hopefully sell well as a game and shift some PS3s. I was a bit dubious when CVG gave it 10/10 but I think it deserves 21/20
Uncharted 2 is awesome! - Undoubtedly the best exclusive on PS3 and my third favourite PS3 game after Oblivion and Bioshock. - No surprise that Fifa 10 has yet to be dislodged though.
I can't help thinking that the fact that U2 is geared towards a single player experience has counted against it. Too many gamers nowadays put credence on multiplayer modes over everything else.
Yeah, I know it has a few good multiplayer options, but they are very definately secondary to the story, and thank God for that! Too many developers are towing the multiplayer line.
Has anyone stopped to think and realised that Fifa is both multiformat and also sold for less than a weeks food shopping at the credit crunch-tastic super markets and that Uncharted 2 isnt so on both counts?

Lucky you. I made a mistake of playing Uncharted 2 first. Got both Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend the same day... finished Uncharted 2 and had to play it again on hard difficulty :\ Now I can't get it out of my mind before finishing it also on crushing. I knew I should've played Brutal Legend first, so far I played it only for a few hours before going back to U2 again. >_< dammit! I knew it'd happen but I thought I'd be strong. Oh well.
And I totally agree with you, screw MW2 (I'm one of those not interested in that game). Now just to get Dragon Age and my trio of awesomeness will be complete.
