yup,February is when its out,the first 4 or so months of 2010 is jampacked with great games
i am really looking forward to this,i know that when you play as Humans,in those dark maze's of tunnels, there are no maps, and its pitch black..and light is very scarce
it could bring back the tension i had back in the mid 90s when i played Alien Trilogy
Of all the great games coming out over the next few months, this is the one I am looking forward to most. I cant fooking wait to play this, it looks brilliant.
Hmm, I can't say I'm overly excited by this. Don't get me wrong, I want it to be good. I'm just not excited by seeing another game with the Unreal Engine cos it all looks the same.
A lot of people are easily pleased with these graphics but I think that engine makes everything look the same. I think games like Uncharted look better cos they're not using the same, dull pallette of greys and browns.
I'll remain optimistic though since I want this to be good and I know Rebellion can make good games

It looks almost exactly like the colony complex on LV426 from the film 'Aliens'. I don't know if you have ever seen it, but if you had then you would realise that games such as Gears/Halo/Fallout etc were all massively influenced by this film. If any game has the right to have the grey brown look, it is an Aliens game.
I'm just excited as the first two were magnificent, and no game has actually scarred me as much as they.
Looks great, it will be interesting to see how the alien and predator charaters play as hand to hand combat in FPS games is notriously difficult to make feel real, often these games feel like you are just swinging (clawing) at the air. I hope they've nailed it
Well, judging by that trailer it looks a LOT like the AVP PC games, especially the whole control of the alien thing.
Obviously it looks a lot better in terms of graphics and stuff, but it still seems to play the same which is good, tehy haven't tampered with the core gameplay.
Looks like the combat is a bit more interactive, in AVP2 you owuld just stand near someone and wait for the teeth to show up, but here you see the Alien picking the guy up then munchin on his brains, could just be a stylish finisher though.
Still, bring it on, this game is gonna rock, especially online.
Even if they were using the Unreal engine, Rebellion have proven them selves capable of a delivering great game.
I do agree to a certain extent though becuase games such as Turok and Blacksite etc look awful in comparison but this is down to the skill (and finance) of the developer. Other games such as Prey have used the engine to better affect.
But roll on AVP 3 (not the film unless James Cameron wants to get involved). I hope they release the first 2 PC games as a special edition package, that would be rather nice.
