Mass Effect 2: Two new screens

Commander Sheppard gears up for January 29
BioWare's released a pair of new Mass Effect 2 screenshots. See them on the bottom right.

The second RPG's due on PC and Xbox 360 and sees protagonist Commander Sheppard on a "suicide mission" to take on nasty robots. More details here.

The sequel's also just been dated for January 29 in the UK, with pre-order gifts abandon.

Looking good!, That Shepard looks remarkably similar to mine .. maybe they(Bioware) stole it! Either way, i have 2 months to complete Mass effect 1, seems easy but not when COD:MW2 is on the brink of being released

Looking gorgeous!

The end of January cant come soon enough!

We don't really need a whole story for two screenshots that look pretty much the same as all the other ones they've released.

Probably because that's the default appearance...

The texture detail looks even better than on the first one. Fantastic!

In the first picture is Shepard wearing the Terminus armour? If that's it it looks sweet though Very Happy
It's mad though I still can't get use to the default Shepard they have in the pictures. I always think it's wrong and not my Shepard.

I haven't been following the development of ME2, because I already knew I was going to buy it. But Dragon Age got on my radar a while back and I was surprised to see it was developed by Bioware as well.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but how exactly are they developing these 2 projects? These are both massive games afterall; both releasing within a few months of each other - are they simply a huge studio, or is one project being outsourced with them overseeing the development?
Chris W on 21 Oct '09
@Chris

BioWare is developing both "DASurprised" and "ME2" (possibly other projects as well), and they do this with different internal development teams that all fall under the staff umbrella of BioWare, which in turn is now a subsidiary of the much larger company EA. I suppose it is possible that certain key staff members may contribute to more than one game project at a time.
The_KFD_Case on 21 Oct '09
^ Yeah, I see - that makes more sense - thanks for clearing that up for me KFD. Oh, and I completely forgot about TOR MMO being from them as well... didn't realise BioWare was that large! ME2 is a must for me, so I think Dragon Age will end up waiting for a slower time of year.
