Music games get shops, as well as Facebook/Twitter functionality
New details on the upcoming Xbox 360 dashboard update have emerged, and it looks like we're getting more than just Facebook and Twitter.

According to a preview e-mail sent out by Microsoft, Xbox Live is receiving dedicated Marketplace fronts for music games Lips, Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Watch tons of other great game videos in HD over on our video channel!

There's also a new "New and More" channel on the cards, which streams the latest headlines from the likes of MSNBC.com, MSN Autos, The New Yorker and Dilbert. Not us though, unfortunately.

The update - which of course also includes social networking functionality such as Facebook, Twitter and Last.FM - is due to launch on November 27. Inquisitive gamers can put their name forward for the beta here.

I use Facebook, as well as Last.fm (which is great). Though I don't use my 360 to listen to music, so maybe not so great. As long as the dashboard doesn't get bogged down, then I'm all for good quality updates and choices.

Finally..it looks like MS are going to start really supporting the Lips game!! Fingers crossed people. The music updates on the dashboard are always full of rock band and guitar hero stuff but no good lips song. Fingers crossed that we get some decent downloads out. Xmas is coming...I really hope Maria C. All i want for xams is on there for a download!!!!!

I watched an interview with the producer on the 360 Dash and it definitely looks like LIPS will be taking a step in the right direction with the release of Number One hits.
