GTAIV added to 360 Classics

Liberty City antics now £14.99, along with Bioshock and Midnight Club
Grand Theft Auto IV and other big names have been added to the Xbox 360 Classics range.

A selection of the Classics range now has an RRP of £14.99 but Rockstar's been in touch to say that GTV IV Classic will retail for £19.99, the same price as its Games On Demand brother.

GTAIV classic Ł15 or GTAIV GoD Ł20? decisions decisions, I don't think MS' right hand knows what it's left hand is doing sometimes
DarrenR on 9 Oct '09
Still a ripp off MS !

An improvement in the pricing front, but still a bit steep, tell you what mr gates, call it a square fiver and you have a deal...
ewko117 on 9 Oct '09
@ewko: I missed that first time round - it's the disc version they're selling for Ł15. The GOD one is still Ł20.

Releasing it on both platforms at the same time just highlights how stupid the online pricing is.

Im one of those 'five' people who havnt got it. Played at a friends and it was the most over hyped rubbish ever. Fair enough the technology they used is impressive, but everything else was hopelessly overrated..much like Uncharted.
Its a shame that they make you pay more for a GoD(sic) version..considering no box, no disc, no manual..and how long it takes people to download etc.

They need to rethink this..should at least be the same price.

Micosoft had stated previously that they're charging people the extra fiver for the 'convenience'

Probably to stop the retailers from revolting and refusing to stock the Xbox 360 like they have with the PSPGo. I think MS is wisely taking a softly, softly approach to introducing Games on Demand, by keeping prices high and titles old.

Games on Demand isn't meant to sell by the bucketload. But if people are sitting at home and fancy a game to play there and then, then they can fork out a little bit of extra cash for that convenience.

It leans more toward the impulse-buy market.

Plus, as others have stated, it keeps the retailers on-side.

Hang on........aren't classics 24.99? At work we're selling GTA preowned for 22.95 so it's not a bad deal really.

Some games on GOD are worth picking up, I've bought Bad Company and Lego Star Wars so far as I've seen them in shops preowned for either the same or more. Although I understand the benefit of having something to sell on, I don't buy with that in mind and you're always throwing money after bad if you look at it that way anyhow.
