Obsidian has spoken to fans about Alpha Protocol's lengthy delay to spring 2010.
Speaking on its official forums, PR man Matthew Rorie said the delay in being able to make the decision official was "frustrating for everyone involved".
"I don't think I should extrapolate on the press release too much at this time; just keep in mind that, in the end, this is going to help Alpha Protocol achieve the greatest success possible for it," he said.

"It sucks that it won't be coming out for a while, but it'll be awesome when it does."
Yesterday Obsidian boss Feargus Urquhart said he was happy Sega had made the decision to delay the RPG, because it gives it "the best chance at becoming the publishing success that we at Obsidian and our partners at Sega are striving for".
I really, REALLY hope Alpha Protocol will be great. Those guys at Obsidian deserve some luck finally. (I loved KotOR2 as much as the first KotOR (though for different reasons) even in it's unfinished and buggy state)
There's too many games coming out now, so delaying it a bit is a good decision.

Too many games coming out?? Pardon? All I'm seeing on the horizon is COD:MW2... all the other games are runnning for cover in next years release table.
But I completely agree that Obsidian are a great company and really deserve this to be a big hit. It's a bit of a disappointment but hopefully it will get it's 5 minutes of fame in the new year.
MW2, Dragon Age: Origins and Borderlands are the three big ones on my games radar at present time. Moving Alpha Protocol to Spring 2010 should place it near the tail end of the rather packed release of games expected in the first half of 2010.
i was originally up for borderlands and then it hit me the gameplay will be s**t its got nothing original and the rpg elements it claims are paper thin

Could say the same about Uncharted 2, but it, for the most part, surpasses them. Its not a 10/10 game or the 'greatest game of all time'...but its very nearly there.
From a quicklook i saw on another website, Borderlands looks pretty good. 4player splitscreen co-op works wonders.
