Codemasters Online is preparing to release The Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood expansion on December 3. There's a bunch of pre-order initiatives going on right now if you're up for another visit to the Shire. Hit this link for more on that and check out the new clip below.

Yeah, great "initiatives" for us Europeans. Horrendous currency exchange rates (US pays 20$ = 13€) and the fact that there's NO pre-order deals. US gets the expansion FOR FREE if they change their sub to 3, 6 or 12 months.
Basically there's a huge crapstorm on the LotrO website about this. Us Europeans got shafted again by Codemasters, and this is the last straw for many of us.
Try hitting it again if you get that message. I did and it worked fine. Must be a gremlin in the system.
Cheers mate!
I have to agree with the guy above though Codemasters seem to have gone downhill lately which is slightly worrying as at one point they were looking rather promising especially for a UK based developer. Shame about their mediocre games lately.
So the trans-Atlantic bugbear of ridiculous and dubious currency "exchange rates" (they should have a look at the open market exchange rates that are the official standard), coupled with far more benign customer benefits in NA compared to Europe, strikes again. This is precisely one of the reasons why I refuse to buy games from Valve's Steam service; there are other reasons, but paying 44,99 euros for a game on Steam that I can get for 33,00 euros physical copy, including VAT and transport from the UK shipped to mainland Europe, is a no-brainer.
