Here are some new screens of the expanded Resident Evil 5: Alternate Edition, showing the new 'Lost in Nightmares' mission in the game.
Lost in Nightmares sees old time partners Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield snoop around the spooky mansion home of the head of the Umbrella Corporation, and probably getting into all sorts of zombie-related bother. A nod to the original, we thinks.

Is this going to be available as DLC or is it just Capcom playing their "lets release another version again" card? As much as i loved RE5 i ain't paying for another edition again.
fortunately i havent bought resi yet after the luke warm reviews. i was waiting for it to reach £10 -only seen it for £15 so far -but might wait and pick this up instead
Blast from the past! Those screen shots remind me of the original resi (the Gamecube remake in particular) wonder why they have chosen to go back to previous style?
No thanks. I got bored enough with the last one. The thought of having to wade through all that again with a bit of extra tacked on is scary enough for me *shivers*

I'd say it was because the old style was vastly superior to the African bland-a-thon from Resi 5.
I'm so glad that I've borrowed "RE 5" from a work colleague. Sure, getting used to a game's controls can take a bit of time, but the first 20-30 minutes of this game were enough for me. I'm not going to spend a single penny on any of the "RE" games currently available on the Xbox 360 nor the PC. The running in "RE 5" is the only bit I thought Capcom pulled off quite well in regards to the console controls. Better luck next time, Capcom (if there is a next time)!
I have no interest in this, but loved Resi 5. I'd say to play past the first hour or so. I hated the demo, but picked it up cheap in a supermarket.
I've always found Resi games annoying at first, restrictive ammo and weapons etc, and then they pick up after that. I actually loved it, and have been through it quite a few times in co-op, upgrading weapons etc.
Looks fooking awesome.....there's more atmosphere in those 4 pics than the whole of the last game. This really IS WHAT Resi is all about. I for one would love to get back to the old spooky mansion with claustrapobic corridors and eerie shuffling zombies and that tense scary feel.........the last game just lost the plot in my eyes, not what we as fans want......i know it all comes down to cash/sales but come on and reboot the franchise by returning to its roots. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and make sure you can walk and shoot!!!!
