I stopped reading after 'Family Party: Outdoor Fun'.

Blimey, even Leeds hasn't built up that much crap. Laughing

whoopdeedoo

i won't be buying anything for my wii this christmas then.

Really illustrates the Nintendo of today. CVG says "We've bolded the good ones"... and it's 5 games out of 150+. Very Happy
Actually 4 games. Just noticed one of the bolded titles is Wii Fit SomethingOrOther.

They could easily have bolded more from that list... quite a lot more in fact.

For starters neither FIFA or PES was bolded...
milky_joe on 1 Oct '09
Well, what a load of s**t. I'll only be getting Mario Bros out of all (Zelda will have to wait). Mind you, I'll only be getting one 360 game this Xmas too and that's Tekken 6. All the good games (or interesting ones) aren't out till next year.

Oh well, I've just got Batman and its brilliant. A nice breath of fresh air and I've got plenty of other games to keep me going
JuiKuen on 1 Oct '09
Tekken 6 is the only game you want - really?
will7476 on 1 Oct '09
Yet again Christmas comes and gamers have to bring their shovels to find the gems hidden beneath the crap! Rolling Eyes

I was going to say the same thing.. surely you're interested in Forza, Mordern Warfare 2, Brutal Legend, Assassins Creed 2, Avatar, Ghostbusters or the new Left 4 Dead?

not even a little bit QuestionShocked

Kinda like the Playstation 2 release schedule all those years back aint it.
kimoak on 1 Oct '09

And for damn good reason! Razz
falloutwarchief on 1 Oct '09
Is it just me or has gameing dried up a little bit lately? Personally, I havn't been excited for a game sine Mario Kart Wii, a year and a half ago.

If I still had a Wii right now I would probably be excited for New super Mario bros Wii, but, I don't still have one, so, yeah.
wiikii007 on 1 Oct '09
games i'll be getting from the wii list: nsmb, pro evo, silent hill, muramasa and possibly 'symphonia.

not much i'm after for the 360 unless i want a gimped modern warfare 2 and after cod4 i won't be falling for that sh!t again. pc version all the way: 50 player, free dlc, free online play, mods,m&k support...
ste hicky on 1 Oct '09
I could of picked out more than 5 easy. they didn't bold put Silent Hill, Darkside chronicles, Muramasa or ghostbusters for a start,
WHERESMYMONKEY on 1 Oct '09
Can the Wii just die already? How many more women have yet to buy a Wii?

Congratulations, you just proved my point.
milky_joe on 1 Oct '09
They could of highlighted more but I guess CVG think those are the only one people care about, I would of highlighted these:

Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
PES 2010
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
Need for Speed Nitro
TMNT: Smash Up
Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo
Tales of Symphonia
YCshinobi on 1 Oct '09
What a terrible line up of games.

Thank god i never bought a wii, that lineup would make the most hardened wii fanboy blub like a baby Laughing
blagger on 1 Oct '09
I guess it depends on who you are and what you like as to how many you BOLD up. There are a few good ones there but i find it quite funny that people who don't have a Wii find the time to read the articule, traul through the list and then post forums about how bad it is lol, that was a productive use of your time eh...! Its a shame that a few titles have slipped to 2010 as they don't want to go up against COD-M.W 2 but that does mean we won't get the usual post xmas lull with little to play for months.
Osiris25 on 1 Oct '09
CVG,

Please fire whoever wrote this article. Anyone who could highlight "Wii Fit Plus" as a good game, and not Darkside Chronicles or Shattered Memories really doesn't deserve to keep their job.
nb_nmare2 on 1 Oct '09
Glad to see tales is finally getting released, zelda is another must have for me and muramassa, new super mario bros wii looks too focused on the multiplayer part for it to be of any interest to me, without online, no thanks.

I don't mind the lack of games, frees up my budget for a psp and either a ps3 or a 360 plus some games.
Athrun888 on 1 Oct '09

No guys, seriously. I went off CoD a long time ago. Forza is techinacally very impressive but I get bored of those games too quick and all the games are either irrelevant to me or just not worth having.

I can't stop playing Batman though. Its real good fun!
JuiKuen on 1 Oct '09

Congratulations, you just proved my point.
What point was that? They're sports games, so they're a pointless waste of time regardless of platform.
falloutwarchief on 1 Oct '09
maybe FIFA. But i think Pro Evos generally a much better game on the wii.
WHERESMYMONKEY on 1 Oct '09
Is it me, or does 'Shaun the Sheep: Off is head' sound like a drinking game?.

That these things are subjective. Simples.
milky_joe on 1 Oct '09
Aw come on guys are you saying someone in your family won't enjoy 'Barbie and the Three Musketeers'?!! you must know someone who has a younger kid sister, daughter, senile granny, hair dressing friend who'll enjoy this. Come on let's not be ageist or sexist now Smile games are for everyone! Maybe it's time for wii or ds to sit amongst the 'under 10 toy bracket' and stacked up with electronic laptops for kids, disney soft toys, macdonalds kids meals and kerplunk. And then put the nintendo magazines on the lower shelf with fireman sam, tweenies and ok magazine.
cykosis on 1 Oct '09
I sense there is a huge collective MEH going on right now around the whole of the UK...

Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
PES 2010
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles

TMNT: Smash Up
Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo
Tales of Symphonia

I'd probably disagree with that (No surprise!) list...

Muramasa looks ok but poor graphically and seems like an endless button basher like Viewtiful Joe (I know it was highly acclaimed but I found it boring...), it only got 80 on metacritic so it's not like its earth shattering anyway. I got bored of Silet Hill after PS1, PES will probably be ok too but is always inferior to the Xbox or PS3 version, Resident Evil unsure, They have NEVER made a good NFS game on the Wii, TMNT looks like a poor mans Brawl, They have never made a good DB game on ANY system and Tales of who?!?!!
ei8hty5ive on 1 Oct '09
BTW, Octobers release line up is truly frighteningly poor...Let's play flight attendant anyone?
ei8hty5ive on 1 Oct '09

PES 09 respective scores.

milky_joe on 1 Oct '09
That list has just reminded me why the Wii is s**t
Mmmmgrolsch on 1 Oct '09
hmmm... see earlier post (how many is that now that have spent time reading and posting crap) There are some good games in that list and i think if Sony and MS post similar lists they too would have good games wadded out with truck loads of
Sh!t too. That just the way almost all release lists look.. so GET OVER IT!!!
Osiris25 on 1 Oct '09
I agree with Osiris25 on this.

How come there where was no date put up for PES 2010 when it's out on Nov 20th and also no DJ hero on the list when that's due October 30th. There is plenty to look forward to on Wii.

Oh and one more thing I bet all those kids TV/ cartoon games will also be released on the 360 and PS3, wasn't it that long ago when some Sony or MS bigwig was hooting on about how they had some hana montana game coming to their console.......I don't know, I guess some people are just never happy with what there getting Rolling Eyes
The_Jaster on 2 Oct '09
You get the feeling that these guys need to come on the wii threads and spout b******s to try and assure themselves that there's nothing worth playing, and that they're proper gamers as apposed to the millions of people that went out and bought the machine made by the oldest console maunfactuer still in the game.

The wiis a gaming machine. It has some pretty damn good games on it. They might not be in HD but graphics aren't everyrthing.

If you'd look back to the years of the ps1/2 you'd find that thier release schedules would also be chock full of shovelware and crap. Its just a consequence of being the biggest platfrom.
WHERESMYMONKEY on 2 Oct '09
You guys need to bold up

Muramasa (Rising Star Games)
6 November

also.

I don't see Tatsunoko vs Capcom All Stars! play.com preorder dates, you have lied to me! Evil or Very Mad

It's funny how I never get tired of Wii bashing...To think I spent all that money buying it when it got released and buying games that I only play once or twice...My only consolation is coming on to CVG and reading likeminded people bash the Wii to warrant my anger at being cheated out of my money by Nintendo...I need my revenge!!!!

Pesky Nintendo children always try to spoil my fun...

Fair enough, if you have played the wii and it's not to you liking but your "revenge" should be aimed at getting your money back not to bash the console.

The majority of the other people bashing the wii may not have even played it so their opinion doesn't matter so how can they be like minded if they may not even be in the same situation as yourself, though you have the right to be annoyed about your decision on buying the wii I see no need in bashing it at every turn I suggest you trade/sell it (if you haven't already) and get something you do like.
