Luckily these arent in-game bonus's, however i feel that overall these pre-order initiatives are spiraling out of control. Certain cars/maps/characters etc should be available to everyone who buys the game, not people who pre-order from a certain place.
I got a Tekken 2 long sleeve t-shirt from a guy I used to know that worked for Konami. The type of stuff that used to do the rounds with all these people that worked in the business. Non of this pre-order b******s mind. Can't see any on Ebay. might sell for a bit of dosh maybe
True, or at least until your want of games accrues a price point large enough to render your real-term finances unable to pay your costs of living and the opearting costs plus taxes for the company. That is your business however and yours to deal with. Like you I can buy any game I want and many of the games I want, but I practice a selective approach so as not to squander all my resources on often short-lived thrills.
This does seem like a large pre-order package, however the t-shirt and baseball cap will be made on the cheap so the finest quality they will not be. The cards seem to be primarily of interest to the kiddie crowd and/or serious collectors. I generally only buy game packages if they are discounted and/or cost more or less the same as the regular edition. Even with the arcade controller, a 149 quid for any game strikes me as obscene if a fairly decent alternative means of controls exists. It's a free market though, so for the half-obessesed fans: Eat your hearts out!
