Left 4 Dead's Crash Course DLC is up now for PC (free) and oddly priced at 800 MS Points on 360 - should be 560 (looks like it's being updated so hold off until the price is right). We've blasted our way through the new campaign and here's what you get for your money (if you're a 360 owner).

Christ at 800 points i was thinking they could shove that up there bottoms. Still 560 points aint exactly any better. Its like the folk who bought the xbox version are being punished while the PC users get it for free. Bunch of b******s.
Valve reeeeeeeeeeeaaallllyyyyyyyy need to make a new game engine or something lol.
Why? L4D is great fun and the physics and feel of the game are fantastic.
Agreed,
The huge numbers on screen and the speed of the zombies is unmatched in anything else, also the genuine and crucial need for teamwork is a breath of fresh air on consoles at the moment, and let's not forget the most important factor,.....fun, by the shedload.
all I see is console snooker cueS complaining about the price will you f**king trolls p**s off back to halo or something. you morons will always have to pay for stuff which is supposed to be free, because that is the bed you have made yourselves - now quit complaining and lie in it.

While I don't consider all of our console brethren to be "trolls", I do agree with your sentiments on some level. Sure, I like my Xbox 360 but the PC remains firmly in my gamer's heart.

I forgot to ask you on the other thread about mas effect, if you don't like the DRM that come with ME + DA, could you not just get them for the 360? ME works really well with the controll pad, and you can sit on a lovely comfy sofa whilst playing..

In that case, why don't you PC users shut the f**k up about DRM? I won't complain about the price of DLC, and you won't complain about the damage that DRM does to your PC's HDD. Deal?
Eeesh, something so frustrating about watching Xbox players play this game.
Something too easy about just moving your pointer to where you want on the screen and press LMB!!
Bah! Compared to the console controls that handle like a gimp in a wheelchair I'll pick K&M any day of the week for FPS games. There's no contest.
Aiming a gun requires skill - clicking on an icon doesn't!!! Mind you, my hours of playing Doom have made me a wizz with Excel!! (that said, its about Ł12 on steam this weekend so think I'm going to get it to play with a few mates who have it)
Anyone play it last night? It was a horrible lag fest. It only put me on Crash Course in Versus and I had one bar of connection despite 20MB broadband (which speed tests said was running fine), only one or two people had 2 or 3 bars.
Level looks good though. I know the levels inside out, so it felt weird not knowing my way around and second guessing where the special infected were going to come from.
And well said monty. People were only discussing the prices were different (bar one post) NOT that they had to pay in the first place.

Same here. It was a bit perculiar at first, not knowing instinctively where to go or where to barrcade when the horde came. I really enjoyed them though, and look forward to hving a proper session this Saturday. Hopefully, the lag will be sorted out by then, too.
I like the fact that the generator breaks down, so you have to come back out from where ever you are fortified. Adds a bit of spice to the whole proceedings!

So you had lag too? It made being infected so hard as I'd pounce as hunter and the survivor wasn't there! I thought my housemate was on bittorrent.
I know Valve said they didn't expect people to camp so much in the finales, so I think this was a really good introduction. In general there seems to be a good mix of lots of buildings/rooms to go in, but quite open spaces outside. I ran through it on single player at first, and if it was a five chapter campaign, I think it would be longer than any of the originals.
