Tokyo Game Show: All The Best Bits

Article: Announcements, movies, screens and previews here
It's been a busy day in the CVG office today thanks to the Tokyo Game Show currently underway in Wigan. So busy in fact that the Uncharted 2 review code sat in its case all morning and ODST didn't even enter an Xbox. And Mario Kart didn't even get a look in. If you've been a bit busy too, here are links to all the best coverage from today's TGS explosion that you may have missed.

In no particular order then:

Bit of a boring one this year. Already new all the good stuff. Still its all about E3 nowadays. Two years ago I'd never of guessed i'd be saying that.

TGS is not like E3, its more like GDC in that it mainly has one conference and a keynote. Some years its different, this year just Sony. I feel given the lack of new things shown it was a bit of a waste from Sony, With the PS3 Slim leading a new charge they could've used TGS to push it significantly further but seemed content, its a move that has backfired on them before. Time makes fools of us all though. I look forward to hindsight and knowing how it turns out.

Fingers crossed, after years of saying it, this may be Sony's year. Either way, what a great time to be a gamer, greatest console war ever, its all good for the consumer.

I remember when TGS used to be good. That was a long time ago though.

They all tend to be an anti-climax in my eyes. Even E3 had no real surprises.

You could argue that Sony showed a lot of stuff, but they were mostly edited videos of gameplay we had already seen.

I suppose it is cool if you are there and can test out the new games, but for the rest of us it seems to be an over-hyped bore fest.

Big thumbs down from me.
