Microsoft has released the first Crackdown 2 screenshots via its Tokyo Game Show showing. See them below.
The second game, in case you missed our massive Crackdown 2 details round-up, features the same city as the first only after it's been devastated by a zombie-like infection that's turning tramps into high-jumping mutants.
Obviously it's now down to The Agency to take control with new guns, new (and old) vehicles and tons of super powers.

The only thing that worries me are the parts talking about it being in the same city. Not that the original city was crap or anything, it's just it had better be different.
I can't say I'm enthralled about paying £40 to run around the same place. I'm sure (hoping) it will be expanded quite a bit as it was pretty small.

Somewhat disappointingly, they've stated it will be the same size, but it will look different due to the chaos that has taken place. Some buildings have been destroyed or decayed, whilst others have sprung up.
I can't say I'm impressed. I loved the first game (still have it) but if this one's gonna be only the same size as that game (ie: very small) then I don't know.
If it's the same city and same size, they've got to stack it full of missions and give more to do once the game is finished, beyond collecting orbs.
The most annoying thing for me though was jumping across to get to certain points, and then realising you can't do them unless you have the DLC. If I don't have the DLC, don't put the bloody markers in my game! Actually, being made to aim at dead bodies was the most annoying thing!
I'm sure it will be great, but this is going to be a wait and see, especially as the developers are different (I think). It was the game I was looking forward to most from E3, apart from maybe L4D2.

Agree with all of that. The devs are the pretty much the same though, most of them worked on the first game so it should be in good hands.
Collecting all the orbs has been the most frustrating achievement I've completed in any 360 game (even more than the Mile High Club in Call of Duty 4).
I just know I'm going to get caught up in collecting them all again.
It's not about how big the city is, but how much there is to do in it. If you can, for example, enter every building and you need to go round locating gang hideouts of mutant lairs, then it will feel very big.
But it took a good few minutes to run (or drive) from one side to the other in the original, so it's clearly big enough.
And yes, curse the orbs. I got to about 387 of the 400 agility orbs and then lost patience. I figure my guy can jump well enough already
Crackdown and Mass effect were the 2 games that very very nearly had me buying a 360. I resisted when PC version of mass effect was heavily rumoured. Still feel I missed out on crackdown though
