In addition, you'll also be able to deck your hard-strumming avatar with shoes from Converse, Dr. Martens and Vans. Lot's of money's been moved about for this to happen, no doubt.
Guitar Hero 5 officially hits the shops next week, on September 11. Look for the review shortly.
There are some pretty sweet brands there, particularly Ibanez Hopefully because of the branding they can afford to release new tracks and equipment if not free then certainly cheaper than before.
Funny, because that's exactly how I expect someone who knows nothing about the game to speak, and what the hell are you on about? People get obsessive about guitar hero and Expert+ or whatever, it doesn't just have to appeal to casual gamers. Have you seen the 100% on raining blood video? Tell me that's not as hardcore as CoD.
I've been gaming since I was knee-high to a Zool and grew up on Starion, Glass, Spy Hunter and Dizzy. I subscribed to YS for years and still bought the odd Crash and Zzapp mag. I know core gaming, and I still enjoy a bit of Guitar Hero when someone throws it at me.
In fact, the second ever time I played Guitar Hero was while I was staying at the recording studio recording the first half of our album. Yes, guess what? I play real instruments AS WELL.
The point is to have fun, not to be the best. Whether you can do 400 headshots from your 1337 sniping spot, 100% on hardcore or you can perform a 700-hit unbreakable combo makes no difference, as long as the result is the person doing it is having a good time.
Now hush your fool mouth before you embarrass those of us old enough to remember the 80s.
