EA has confirmed that the demo for FIFA 10 will land on XBLA, PSN and PC on September 10, and September 17 in the US.
Sounds like a pretty meaty demo, too. Here's the official word:
"Play as Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Marseille, and Chicago Fire (MLS) and discover a football experience that will deliver a new standard for authenticity with gameplay refinements and innovations that will make it the most complete and intelligent simulation of football. In addition to playing an exhibition match, for the first time in a FIFA demo users will be able to upload created in-game videos to EA Football World."

EA also confirmed that Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will sit next to Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney on the worldwide cover of FIFA 10. Theo Walcott will also appear exclusively on the UK pack art, if you care about such things.
The final game will be out on every conceivable format on October 2 over here (Oct 20 in "soccer"-loving US).
That's clever, fronting the cover with that annoying, over-rated, over-paid Chelsea whinger alongside, without question, the most ugly player in the premiership.

I didn't realise a footballer was judged on his abilities through his looks alone; I'm pretty sure quite a few people see Rooney as more than just an ugly sod.

I wasn't implying that. I was just pointing out an amusing irony. It matters not.
In fairness, all footballers are paid too much. Money they deserve compared to the amount of money in the sport, but still far too much for what they actually do. And Lampard's awesome, best midfielder in the Premiership barring Gerrard. Ronaldo was better than the pair of them, but fortunately he's gone. His hair was ridiculous.
