I'm assuming that they won't be doing the Blue and Red albums - so, what happens to the singles that aren't on the main game?

I suspect they'll release them seperately, so that people can get the likes of 'Strawberry Fields' and 'Penny Lane' - if they make 'Old Brown Shoe' available, I might consider picking this up! (C'mon - that bassline....)

Of the stuff coming - 'Dear Prudence' and 'Everybody's Got Something to Hide, Except for Me and My Monkey' are a must.

:)

Or they'll release Mystery Tour?

Abbey Road - amazing. Never cared for Rubber Soul myself. Revolver would be great too.

Some of the songs on the White Album are a tad short (although still amazing), I wouldn't really want to hear a reprise of the strings at the end of Glass Onion for an extra two minutes to stretch the song out!

Revolution 9 has got to be in the main game, surely? Any word on Hofner or Rickenbacker shaped guitars yet?

Mystery Tour is guaranteed.

There will be a Hofner Violin bass package available and you will also be able to buy a Rickenbecker (can't remember which model, but it's the one John Lennon used) and a Gretsch Duo-Sonic (Which I really don't remember ever seeing George Harrison play - surely it should've been a Country Gent?).

They're fairly pricey, but they do look pretty cool.

:)

I think they are out day and date of the game.

They are a bit pricey though. When i say a bit, around £90 each!

George Harrison

John Lennon

I'll still get them though.

You get that with the band in a box package, i don't think you can get it seperately. Not from any news i've seen so far anyway.

Isn't it also available as the Guitar/Game package? - I must admit, the bass does tempt me a little....it looks great (be interesting to see how big it is) and I really enjoy playing bass on GH/RB.

:)

From everything i have read, it looks like it's an exclusive with the boxed set. Only the two guitars will be available as seperate items.

It's a shame, as i know some people, myself included, will boo about having two sets of drums knocking around. But i'll get rid of my older set to a mate for a few quid and put that towards the big box.

Those silver finished drums look too good to miss...he he.

Now if only they included four pudding bowl wigs as well......

That's a shame - the bass looked great...I'd have been more likely to buy that than the other two guitars - it's larger than the old RB bass too, supposedly.

:)

Yeah, i know what you mean.

I think i'm going to get the Rickenbacker with the game. That along will be the better part of £270! I'll get the missus to get me the other for Christmas.

I know, i know....it's the price of a console. But apart from Modern Warfare 2 i don't really want any other games this year. There's no point. I'll just be playing this one....he he.

I already have my Beatles: Rock Band Party lined up.....he he

Jesus!!

I was kidding about the hofner and rickenbackers!! They are going all out on this one. Activision must be gutted they didn't get this little cash cow!!

I like the idea of this, but I can't justify that much expenditure.

Do the songs work on other versions of RB?
Posted by WHERESMYMONKEY
i've been wondering about that. All the dlc for Roackband has so far been universal. Be silly for EA to not make this do the same. Seeing as all of the uber famous songs are going to be on the disc its not like it would put people off getting it.
Posted by nottsville
Nope. The songs cannot be transferred. It's just the Beatles on this one.

It's something to do with all the dreamscapes not beinf transferable or something along those lines.
Posted by ricflair
That was the answer I was expecting. Typical really. Although I'm not going to blame EA straight away. The remaining Beatles/widows are fond of a few dollars and don't seem to mind selling the name anymore!

Those guitars do look better than the normal ones though. Just not as nice as my strat!
Posted by nottsville
Yeah. I mean, i would really like it if you could transfer the songs. Not everyone i know is that into the Beatles, although everyone must like at least one Beatles song....i'd imagine. So it would be good to be able to play a Beatles song in Rock Band 2 every now and again.

But, it was a very big coup for getting the Beatles on board, and right from the outset it was decided to be a tribute to all things "Beatles".....so it being stand alone i can kinda see it.

Yeah - let's face it, it's a huge coup for EA/RB.

I've also heard that there are other stipulations for the game that were included into the license - things like them not being allowed to 'boo' the Beatles offstage (as you would when failing the song) and the crowd not singing along.

Still, for a license this big - it doesn't surprise me that they bend over backwards for them.

:)

yeah...apparently if you fail the song it just says you fail...no booing or anything....again, another reason why there is no cross compatibility between this and the other Rock Band games.
