I had reservations over the battle system but as soon as I played it they were washed away. The graphics are amazing as well, and the demo is supposedly only an alpha build so the full game will look even better. If there is no simultaneous EU/US release then I will import it from the US - there is no way that I am waiting for localization to Europe. Seconded. There was a rumour on N4G that the Pal version would get an Autumn release. Personally, I don't mind the wait as I'll have ME2 for Spring 2010 and I'll be getting Fallout 3 GOTY Edition this October. Obsidian's Alpha Protocol looks like it will turn out good as well, plenty of other RPG's to last until then if it's true. 8) Well if you're unsure allow me to make up your mind for you Mr. Square-Enix......... release a demo........... there, sorted. Yep- I'd prefer to try a demo. I'd like to make sure it's actually good this time (looks over at the cast of all FF games 8 through to 12 and shakes head). Whatever... FF IX in my opinion has much the best characters of the entire series.
I really enjoyed the characters in X as well, but I do understand that those two games having a lead who isn't a loner emo asshole with no friends means many FF fans can't relate to them. What, like Squall? Loner. Emo. Asshole. He was rubbish! (cool gunblade though) If you can relate to feminine teenage boys with there mid-riffs showing, then good luck to you!

Anyway I can forgive weak characters if the gameplay is good or the story is interesting- that's my main problem with (most) JRPG's. Also, can some one please get a descent bad guy to fight?I have my fingers crossed for this one. i want a demo because we all gotta whate till next year 4 the games sim simutaneous release on ps3 an xbox 360 we should get the ps3 virsion first because it 100% complete I have the jpn demo and all i can say is this............SQUARE - ENIX PLEASE PUT OUT AN ENGLISH DEMO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!IM GOING THU FINAL FANTASY WITHDRAW!!! It's currently 90% and the 360 version is 70%, as stated by Square. Chances are both versions will be completed by the time the PS3 version is released in Japan. |
