GC: PES 2010 out October 22

Plus 360-degree dribbling system promised
PES 2010 will be released on October 22 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Konami's confirmed.

PlayStation 2 and PSP versions of the footy sim will arrive shortly after on November 5, the company said at Gamescom, with Wii landing on November 19.

The company also unveiled a new 360-degree control system, which it says came from its close contact with the global network of PES and football fans, who probably saw the same feature on FIFA 10's bulletpoint list and thought 'yeah, we'll have some of that'.

ooooh PES or FIFA?!?!?! definitely gonna stick with Fifa - 09 was probably the best football game ever to date, add in the 360 degree control and it should be awesome - probably never gonna buy another PES games after their disastorous last few efforts :D

I completely agree Soap, the last fifa was amazing. by the way, is your name from Cod 4? I think its amazing, will you be my friend on Xbox? I have no one to play with..

Whoever wrote this is one really annoying person.

"The company also unveiled a new 360-degree control system, which it says came from its close contact with the global network of PES and football fans, who probably saw the same feature on FIFA 10's bulletpoint list and thought 'yeah, we'll have some of that'."

Everyone's been on about this feature forever so don't act as if EA were the geniuses behind this. This is a major feature which all footy games should implement.

Always liked PES over FIFA, have brought FIFA on numerous times (even last year and still would have PES instead). Im sure im not alone in saying PES is a more enjoyable experiance. fifa have always been a tap tap tap shoot sort of game (fifa 96 onwards) to me, PES always gives me more joy scoring goals to. Bring on 22 oct

Those of you who are already writing it off, have a very blinkered view. I have no allegiance to FIFA or PES I just enjoy playing football games, and this year it seems we will finally have a choice of two great titles.

It comes down to your own preferences, which one you prefer or enjoy playing more, which game your friends pick etc. Those that are sticking with FIFA because "It was the best for the last couple of years so always will be" are guilty of going down the same complacent road as PES fans did. It would be the same as dismissing FIFA 08 and 09 because the series before then was poor to average!

I will wait for the reviews and will play both, as both have different things to offer, but I am sure both games will be rated around the 90-95% mark - and if that is the case, then we should all be happy with the game we choose and not criticise or try to find fault with the one we didn't! These games need to be judged on this years efforts alone!

Pes5 was the best football game so far.Pes09 and fifa09 were both crap :x

have to disagree videogame football was revolutionized on wii wii pes 09 is the best yet theres no comparason on ps3 x360 as there old gen gameplay

i wish sony and micrsoft fans would GET WITH THE PROGRAMME playing the old way is like a babys game

controlling the whole dam team vs one player at a time theres simply no comparison you can actually take control in real time

a 1000 fold better than bashing a button cough ps3 pes cough x360 pes

times have moved forward put the past in the past guys

i played thatway on n64s iss 98 why would i be doing it that way in 2009

that would be retro gaming

football/american football/ice hocky/golf/tennis/rugby/cricket

all enhanced via wii stop calling ur selfs core and then contradicting ones self playing games the old azz way

embrace the future put down the prehistoric dualshocks

Spot the demented Wii fanboy! I think we're all convinced, we've all seen the light now... and should collectively throw out our PS3s and 360 and purchase the poor controlled, less machine they call the Wii, and play Nintendo-only games 'til our eyes bleed! Kingwiiboy... there's a name that better describes idiots like you... wanna guess what it is?

Back on subject... As terrible as it sounds, I was hoping PES would continue it's normal path and justify me not buying it this year. But I'm geniunely not buying it this year because there's so much coming out, but it really sounds like PES would have been a worthwhile purchase.

It's outrageous that PES and FIFA for that matter have only just added 360 movement. Can you imagine how poorly we'd look at game developers if this were the case with first- or third-person games???

As much of a spoon as kingwiiboy1962 is, I have to agree that PES on the Wii is amazing and much more fun than its HD cousins. I am looking forward to Natal/PS3wand PES games, as if they can copy and improve on the Wii versions then they will be something special. Sports games really do benefit from motion controls more than some other genres.
