That last image looks like a shot from Bladerunner! ...with an alien in it.
This game has priority over everything at the moment. That includes eating and sleeping. _________________ I'm thinking of joining the SDF... do I need to marry one of my sisters to be accepted?

That Mass Effect game engine is something special isn't it? I've never seen facial detail like is in another game. Recently borrowed Assassin's Creed and it's interesting to compare where each game engine excels. The faces, detail and animation, especially the eyes in Ass Creed! are terrible. It's a good looking game when you're looking at the cities or landscape, but the animation and detail of the people are really poor.
Bioware have been really smart about this. They understand that when we talk to people we look at their eyes. So of course they made the eyes very high definition in Mass Effect. They also put more detail then into faces, and bodies no doubt at the cost of environments, but I think the technique works perfectly. It's the same approach the better developers have worked on with driving games... spend the majority of the graphics on the cars and track, where your focus of attention is, and a little less on the background and.
Although there is a downside to Mass Effect's character faces and animation being so good... play any other game, even the AAA first person shooters, and the faces, especially the eyes, look like past generation to me, let alone this generation's graphics! We've definately been spoilt with Mass Effect's graphics. Absolutely stunning. If only they'd allow us to play the game in first person, it would be the perfect game! Why other developers aren't tripping overthemselves to use this engine is beyond me.
I saw this dude in last months edition of Games-tm. the screens look amazing and i agree with the dude above, this has priority over everything! Assasins what? Moder war-who? Exactly
