Nintendo dates free DSi Flipnote app

Flipnote Studio - create animations on your DSi
Nintendo has confirmed that Flipnote Studio, a DSi app that lets you doodle your own simple animations, will be launched on August 14 - and it's free.

Remember those flip-pads on which you draw a sequence of images on different pages and quickly flick through them to create an animation? That's what Flipnote Studio does on DSi.

You sketch your frames with the stylus (with hundreds of frames per animation, if you have the patience to draw them all) or import DSi photos as black and white images to help your creation, and then share them online via a special service called Flipnote Hatena.

Flipnote Hatena lets you trade, grade and save animations from other Flipnote Studio users, and even continue a Flipnote created by another user.

You can also use the DSi's microphone to record sounds for your Flipnote, such as music, speech or sound effects.

Day-one cock and ball animations to be uploaded then?

All I can say is 'bout time nintendo'. Surpisingly I'm actually going to get this, after all why not it's free and it looks like it could provide ( for people with patience) some amusement.
