Although VGchartz say 360 has sold 12m+ in europe and I thought their figures were from retail? Something must be fishy with their figures, which is a shame as I thought they were a good resource. Nice job MS.
I reckon they are doing a really god job. Xbox is definitely getting stronger and stronger. They are doing a lot of things right this time around. It could be either sold or shipped figures, I guess.
Still, I agree with ingy - this is good for everyone....except Nick33 - I really hope that 33 isn't his age. If it is, he seriously needs help.
:) Wll done to MS, compared to the first Xbox the 360 has been a real success in all regions (yes even Japan).
Competition is good, we dont want one platform running away with it and if MS, Sony or Nintendo are battling each other then its us Gamers that win.

You're right about one thing – not everyone wants any type of Halo game. That definately describes me. But to assume that's all the 360 is about is a grave underestimatation of what this console's about or capable of. Do you really believe a price drop and TWO games will completely change the console environment? OK, so none of us can predict the future, but I find it hard to believe that'll be the case (then again, who knew that sh*tty Wii would be the biggest seller!).
By the way, your hatred of the 360 sounds very much like jealousy to me. Don't be, all the consoles have their own advantages. When I had an original Xbox I was in the minority. I loved the games, and I loved the machine and I didn't care that 99% of gamers had PS2s at the time. Enjoy the PS3, be happy you have the more powerful console, if that's important to you. An outright attack on the 360 just demonstrates that you wish the PS3 was as popular, with as many games, with a more realistic price tag. Personally I think the NinSoftSony Nick33 forum member is rubbish, it plays the same stupid comments as the Nick through to the Nick 32 models before it did, whereas the first SonyMicroNin ricflair forum member model has more processing power and stuff.

Looking at the site again, when it breaks up total sales into regions, it says: USA, Japan, Other.
So I'm guessing they've just lumped that amazingly diverse region called 'Rest of the World' with Europe. Nick is a ps3 fanboy, incredibly every article he posts in, is always in favor of the ps3.

Yeah, I prefer my Wii to my 360 but its not like I hate the 360. I don't hate the PS3. I just see it as a waste of money and since no one I know has one, its makes it rather redundant for me to own one. This moron - Hanzo - seems to think I have it in for everything that isn't Nintendo. I've been playing games long enough to grow tired of the same crap each year and like it or not, the 360 is oversaturated with shooters or games that involve shooting.
Sorry to all for the rant as its off topic. Its just one too many beers I guess :) Praise the lord for the SNES, Megadrive, 3DO, NES, Gamecube, PSone, Master System, Gameboy, GameGear, PS2, Xbox, Mega CD, Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, DS and all the other systems that offer great times and be f**king glad you get to experience it in the first place.
Well done MS you have built a strong platform, if Sony catch up then we will all enjoy the benefits. I think Nick seems to think that GT5 is coming out soon.

GT5 is slowly starting to compete with Duke in my eyes... My name is Nick aswell, and I feel I must appologise on behalf of other Nicks that are also not fanboys. I am lucky enough to own (well one the cred bill is paid) a ps3 and an xbox, and anyone (including Nicks) in their right mind would say theres nothing between them. In terms of reliability, I have had to replace the ps3 under warranty (and buy extended guarentee after that) where as with the xbox, the thing is still going strong. I enjoy being able to play the PS3 online free, but no one really talks on there, apart from the odd swearing angry teenager (maybe another AI Nick?) Dunno much about Wiis as they havent appealed to me. But anyway, sorry for the other nasty Nicks out there. I mean come on, a guy who writes his IQ score after his name is not entirely to blame. I blame the government. And yes the 1 after my tag is my actually my brain cell.Sometimes I rent it out to other Nicks. »
IQ? I'm a ps3 owner but would like to say well done to microsoft. I think Sony were way too late with the price cut. And ODST doesn't look like a rehash, it will probably rake in more people, however, I think Sony have very strong exclusives as well, which will keep up with the 360 Everyone else has called you a knob already, but I cant resist. Same tune different lyrics. Previous 360 killers, Free online, Resistance 1&2, Haze, LBP, Motorstorm 1&2, non vibration feedback controls, home, MGS4, GT5P, Killzone 2... list goes on. There are plenty of ms fanboys around here, but you don't hear them go on that every big release is going to kill the competition. |
