THQ picks up Blood Bowl

Game Workshop's brutal fantasy football game gets new home
THQ has snatched up the publishing rights to the picked up the publishing rights to the Game Workshop's bruising fantasy football on multiple platforms.

"Blood Bowl, the brutal game of Fantasy Football set in Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy universe is coming to the UK, with PC, PSP and DS versions touching down on September 18 and an Xbox 360 release to follow at a later date," says the publisher.

Certainly looks like it.
Glad to hear THQ are keen to keep hold of the Warhammer franchise. I'm pretty interested in what they can do with the Blood Bowl setup.

May be better to clarify that the game is already avaible in mainland Europe.

This game is already out for the PC. I saw it at a local games retail store today. I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall the year date on the back saying "2008"? Regardless, it seems it's not out for the console and handheld platforms yet.

You can also download a digital copy of the game from the official website. I've had it a for a few weeks. Feels a bit like a beta though - could definitely do with some polish.
