COD Classic priced?

Looking like 1200 MS points (£9.99)
Modern Warfare 2: Hardened Edition comes with a remake of the original Call Of Duty title which Play seems to suggest will cost 1200 MS points (£9.99).

In a list of features for the £69.99 Modern Warfare 2: Hardened Edition, the online retailer's info has been updated to include "Equivalent DLC value 1200 MS points (£9.99)", which refers to the Call Of Duty Classic title.

It's not know whether or not this will be available individually over Xbox Live Marketplace or the PlayStation Store, but we guess it will after a period of exclusivity to the collector's edition. And we can also deduce that it very well might cost 1200 MS points (£9.99). See what we did there?

Is it for you or will you be happy with Modern Warfare 2?

I'd leave the deducing to Sherlock Holmes, my dear CVG. Knowing Activision, they will release COD with a £14.99 price tag, or something similarly ridiculous.

Anyway, who the fook will want to play the old COD after having taken out a second mortgage to buy MW2?

It will be overpriced, like Modern Warfare 2. I bet it will be about £15-20.

I swear it was already officially announced it was going to be a tenner...

still got my pc original so no need to spend points on this (excellent) game. The original was always the best.

Do Activision think we are made of money?

70 quid for the hardened version? on your bike activision!

I think EA have paid Activision to take over the lead role of most hated games company. They are doing a smashing job so far.

MW2 is off of my list.

The original is on steam right now for I think £15 if that gives you an idea of price

Think they have upped there pricing because they know we will all be stupid enough to buy it! I'm sure the basic version is £45-55. Which at the moment with the credit crunch is aloud of b*****ks!

I was gonna get it until i saw everywhere minimum price is £44.99 for MW2 or £42.99 on shopto. Sack that!! usually i pay 32.99 for everything on shopto and i yeah i do LOVE FPSs but am not paying a tener more for the same game i basically play every month i can wait lol. CoD1 was cool too just the A.I annoyed me, CoD2 ftw! lol

I'll be ok tho cmon, Uncharted 2, Assassins Creed 2, Ratchet & Clank A Crack In Time, Forza 3 or 360 peeps and a few others not as if we're gonna be short on games...well i won't.

What bugs me most about activisions latest stunt is only 10 weeks ago they try to strong arm sony about the price of their ps3 saying if they don't lower the price of the console they will no longer develop or support it as the games cost too much to produce talk about hypocrite!. There is an abundance of titles past and present that will keep any gamer busy till mw2 hits the used and bargain sections of the retail market.Dont help set a new standard of greed!!!!

It's not really related to this story but I thought I'd post this anyway...

Anybody with an Xbox 360 can preorder Modern Warfare 2 for £35 :D

Tesco Direct currently have 20% off the usual preorder price of £45. You can then also get an extra £1 off by going through a cashback site such as topcashback or quidco etc.

You have to make sure you go into the Tesco Direct section of the website, not Tesco Entertainment.

It's free delivery too :D it looks like they are going to charge for it when you first add it to your basket, but they apply a discount on the last screen of the checkout.

Unfortunately for PS3 owners it's not available on PS3 through Tesco Direct at the moment.

Just thought I'd share it for all those put off by the price. I spotted this on a different website and have just saved myself and a few mates a tenner each.
