The type of RPG people have been crying out for years and then it arrives in one epic adventure
None of that girly punk and love story cheesiness here. Also has a devilishly hard difficulty setting towards the end
This game will be massive what? no blazblue.... err, you can still ship to europe with play-asia, they accept UK addresses and credit cards.
Oh and blazblue is coming out here in 3-4 months Thanks for this article, good reading! I'm going to look into getting a few of these I think. Yeah I aggree. Good article.
I don't normally read what's at the top of the website, but this was a welcome read.
The titles listed here are very niche though, but Blazblue is causing quite a stir for fans of a certain liking. @WowComics Yes, Play-asia do post to Europe. But as far as I know, they won't post games for Sony systems to Europe (this is due to Sony getting Lik-Sang closed down I think). i imported demon's souls from ebay as well with no trouble at all, all I can say is a fantastic game! you really should try it, plus I don't think its as hardcore as everyone makes out; the only thing missing is the ability to pause the game lol. plus the constantly on 'multi player' is very novel and makes the gave very interesting. Plus the English is flawless - no such 'krenglish' here, imo they could release it in the uk tomorrow if they wanted to. I would give this game 9/10. Demon Souls is out in America soon for those who want english dubbing to go with the text.
Still no word on a UK release though. Its just criminal. The voice is in english in the asian version for demon's souls. Ebay for 40 squids. You even get an english manual. I can't believe how little press this has got. I only heard about it from a friend. GOTY imo. Got the Demon's Souls deluxe version on preorder from the States, so I get the soundtrack with it as well. I can't wait. October is a very busy month for me, I'm almost happy that Dragon Age got put back a few weeks. :p Nice, can't wait for the western release!
~funkyellowmonkey(ps3 id)~ can't wait for demon souls, still i cry into my custard knowing that i won't get yakuza 3 unless i learn japanese thts in the states so i dunno if tht counts. i also didnt know afrika was even released yet so thts smthg kl to know. i have read many, many great things abt demon souls and its kind of getting me pumped. im still waiting for a good rpg this gen. all in all great article cvg. Couldn't agree more about Demon's Souls. The first game I've imported in a long, long time and it's the most satisfying game I've played in ages.
Review at my blog if anyone is interested: http://tinyurl.com/lhxzmv A couple of those around about to be released in the US too, so you might want to wait and see if you can import it any cheaper from the States, or a better exchange rate against the dollar than the yen.
I'm sort of curious about titles like Afrika or Aquanaut's Holiday where there's no actual object, but I don't really like feeling aimless when I'm doing stuff. I guess it depends how entertaining the AI is to watch. I always just use Lik-Sang, probably the best importers I've ever seen. Why didn't you try them?
Oh wait. Yeah, that's right.
**** you, Sony. Yes-Asia are better than Play-Asia in my opinion and they have free international shipping too!!!
Renchi.com don't stock Japanese versions. I bought the Asian version of Dissidia from them, it didn't have any English in it but it did have a useful little slip card in the cover with the controls in English which certainly helped!!! I don't suppose anyone knows if I'll be able to play with my friends easily, or is the multiplayer purely based on random people breaking in to my game and defiling my corpse? :p
I got my copy from a Canadian site actually, not a US one, clickie, if anyone is interested. It cost around £55 but that's the deluxe version with the OST, art book and shipping included. You won't be able to play with each other easily but it should be possible.
One of you will have to be dead and the other alive.
The dead player will need to go to the beginning of the level the living player wants to do and drop their blue stone.
In theory the living player should then be able to see them and summon them.
But as soon as you defeat a boss together the dead player will be resurrected and returned to their game world - meaning that one of you will have to die in order to play together again.
The game really is a single-player experience with the option to call in allies and help/kill people when it takes your fancy. It isn't designed for dedicated co-op play; you'll be disappointed if this is what you are expecting. Thank you for your help, Revdougle. I usually prefer to play RPGs on my own the first time through so I'm not all that disappointed by that news, I just wondered if it would be easy to play that way should I choose to later. I'll leave the dedicated co-op play for Borderlands. :) |
