Does new Batman video show blurred out PS3 Slim?

Update: Behind the scenes Arkham Asylum video shows blurred out console
As spotted by redwilson in our very own forums (and numerous others around the web) the latest Eidos video might include a blurred out PS3 Slim. Look out for it towards the end...

Eidos has released a behind the scenes trailer for the upcoming action game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. If you haven't already seen enough of it in video form, feel free to come and get another delicious helping.

Movie below.

Finally got to play the demo last night and absolutely loved it.

Great control system - can't wait to play more...I'm pretty sure I'll be firing up the demo a few more times before release.

:)

I played the demo recently and I have to say I am mightily surprised. I didn't think it was gonna be this good! I love the combos and counters and other great things you get to do. I may have to stick this one on the credit card, its just so tempting...

@redwilson Apparently so. ;-)

Allegedly its about 15-20 hours long, if anyone could confirm this it would be most appreciated :D ?

Oh, and as everyone else has said, the demo is great and it a Day 1 purchase!

Awesome if its true, as i'm wanting another PS3 as it would save me lugging the 'phat ps3' downstairs and out and abouts etc! :)

The pictures also show something else blurred out, to the left of the "PS3", which is a grey colour.

My guess is that they've blurred out a standard PS3 and an Xbox 360, to avoid advertising for, or 'offending', either company.

Samethoughts exactly

I agree too. IS the hype for a PS3 Slim that huge that a blurred image of a console is enough to spur it on further? And why would the Batman devs have a PS3 slim already, if it is being made? Perhaps I don't understand things well enough, but the devs would just need the SDK and a machine to test it on. The PS3 slim's importance lies in image and space consumption, which I doubt devs are too worried about in the office. In other words, it's something I expect would be revealed to the public before anyone started getting their hands on it.

YAWN!!! Who cares!?! And looking at the photos they actually look like screenshots of a 3D scene, they don't look real at all.

Slow news day, eh CVG?

I loved it too, and immediately after trying it I pre-ordered it. I had one slight niggle to do with the camera not 'fixing' to Batman, so when he turns, it turns (ala Dead Space) but it was VERY slight.

Can't friggin' WAIT!

When your fighting, does it slow down for every knockdown? I only ask as i'm playing the pc demo rather than a console. It's a great demo btw, and will be buying it.
As for the PS slim, nah, they just dont want to seem bias towards one system.
Posted by ParmaViolet
Yeah, that's pretty much the only gripe that I could possibly have with it...it would have been nice to have a 'reset camera' option.

I do wonder just how difficult it'll be at later stages too - supposedly it's only about 20hrs of gameplay.

Only a couple of weeks to go! - what's the betting that they end up getting 90% scores without having to bribe the reviewers after all?

:)

advertising or bias for one company is the most retarded thing ive ever heard - you see games consoles stacked everywhere in studio videos all the time. its not advertising!
Posted by Piranha
Thats not even a devkit and is more than likely a PS3 test kit - full size. The reason they would blur the console is obvious. This video will no doubt be shown on both PSN and Xbox Live and both platform holders have rules in place stating that other console images/logos etc are not allowed to be shown either in videos or in game...... Slow news week anyone?!?!

To all the numpties moaning about the camera. Its the L3 button to centre the camera as indicated on the controls screen. This is available via the options menu and pause menu.

You're welcome.
Posted by jubbgi01
Yeah, a company trying to keep both the companies it has a deal with happy would be insane and retarded. Or maybe just an agreement that they dont show either system. Like someone mentioned, to the left is a grey box thats been blurred. Is this the rumoured xbox 360 slim?
Posted by thelazyone
err, well why cant these machines be xbox 360's??!! They are both Grey and Black..

As said before, its not like edios are going to favour one machine over the other!!!

What if its a Wii Hd??

I think it's the rumoured CVG bad journalism.
