Amusing really! This isn't news! Just because idiot fanboys have been ZOMGing about it on forums for a could of days, doesn't mean news sites have to start talking about it too. To be fair, it's an 8 year old song so it wasn't made for Little Big Planet and so long as Microsoft paid for the rights to use it, they can use it in whatever they like (unless of course they then use it in their latest game "Small Huge Galaxy" then there might be a problem).
I'm more concerned with the 'Free' internet comment in that ad. Yeah, free...after you've forked out £40 for the yearly sub, on top of whatever your provider charges, and £60 quid for a wireless adapter (if you need it of course).
Not saying it's wrong, because silver access is free, but that comment is incredibly misleading. MS are kind of taking the p!ss with that choice. Didn't Sony once use images of PGR4 when advertising games on the PS3? I'm sure it was something like that.
To be fair it's not MS's or Sony's fault for these gaff's, it's the stupid agency they use to put it together. Then it gets signed off by someone at MS or Sony who doesn't know anything about games. Don't forget 'Deathplace', 'Insurrection: Collapse of Humanity', and 'Undiscovered: Nelson's Wealth'. the unmissable ' ruralmyth' and then there's te upcoming 'attack area deux' Well that advert did a good job. My friend's band get their music used in all sorts of places. When they get the royalty statements through, they're always being used as background music on Norwegian daytime TV and stuff like that!

HUH am i missing somthing or did MS add a browser to there console, Downloading demos/vids/games come from there servers is not classed as the internet, you try getting Google on your Xbox 360. Or when they used a picture from Project Gotham Racing to plug Gran Turismo. |
