New Warlock of Firetop Mountain screens

Fighting Fantasy coming to DS this winter
We've got a batch of new shots for the recently announced DS adventure, Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

Speaking to CVG about the title, Damir Slogar, CEO of developer Big Blue Bubble, explained, "We showed the playable prototype of our game to Ian Livingstone back in 2007. Ian immediately recognised the potential and we agreed to continue the development using the Fighting Fantasy brand.

"Around the same time, Steve & Ian had just published the 25th anniversary edition of The Warlock of Firetop Mountain so the choice to base the game on that book was obvious."

I'm not keen on the box art, to be honest. I'd have preferred the original book cover art.

Also, some of those monsters look a bit odd for the setting.

I'm keeping an eye on this one. Hopefully it is a decent companion to the book.

Agree i dont like the box art either, surely the original or similiar is required as it sums up the feel nicely.
I honestly hope this is a success as i have fond memories of these books(still have a heap of them in the attic!!!!) :D
