Fox Racing System Leg Armour (08)
BikeRadar verdict
"Lots of protection and great freedom of movement, but not for racing"
A unique solution to the problem of strangulated legs from velcro straps, the Fox Racing System uses a separate knee gaiter instead of a top strap.
This alleviates the circulation-stopping strap and allows your knee to articulate freely.
Thick padding and hard plastic knee and shin protectors shrug off full-on impacts.
They’re a bit fiddly to fit and have a tendency to slip down when you’ve had a crash, which obviously isn’t ideal in a race situation.
