The Siege of Spinner Cay detailed inside Telltale games has revealed that the second chapter in its Monkey Island series, The Siege of Spinner Cay, will be available for PC on August 20.... read more
i think monkey island is brilliant, but with these episodic games, i always think the developers have it all done, and have 6 months off trickling us their game instead of putting it all in one box!
I'd say it definitely stands up to the 21st century upgrade - the brilliant humour, writing, voice acting and puzzles are all still present and as good as ever.
I agree with the original poster, though - I'd rather have the whole game at once - hopefully they're fixing the mouse controls for Guybrush's movement - being able to point and click where you want him to go would be much better than dragging him around or using the cursor keys.
What concerns me is, given that episode 1 was released in the first week of july, and episode 2 the THIRD week of August - it's essentially well over a month between the two episodes. Given that this is the first wait between episodes we've had, and it's longer than initially thought, it is concerning - will the waits between chapters just get further and further apart? I hope not, as the wait for chapter 2 has been unbareable enough already
No. TellTale usually stick to thier episode a month schedule. you'll get it at some point, just not necessarily the same day each month. _________________ The only thing we know is that we know nothing.
I'm holding off until the inevitable XBLA version. Was gonna start getting them on the wii but I've read it's a rather shoddy port. Could get them on PC but... i r acheevmant whore
The port on the wii will be as good as the one on the 360 if Sam and max is anything to go by. They look pretty much the same and have all the same problems.
The Telltale engine just doesn't seem to like consoles. _________________ The only thing we know is that we know nothing.
Get it on PC. It's quite good. And it runs quite happily on my missus' shonky computer.
By the bye, does anyone know where to get a sh*t-hot gaming PC that looks (and sounds) like a regular computer? If I come home with half the stuff available on Chillblast or Overclockers, she'll cut my Jacobs off...
