And it will look really really good no matter what platform your getting it on  . I bet those screens are from the 360 version and not the crappy PS3 one. fixed
knock knock. who's there? It's the SDF. oh good night. the graphics look good (obviously!), but i dont like the style. Water looks poor... Nice one.
The screenshots do look very nice indeed. I'm still not sure about the whole racing premise of the game. I might change my mind should I play it, but as it stands I would have preferred if the driving part had simply been one aspect of a FPS or FPS/RPG instead of the backbone of the game apparently. It seems like an age since I first saw rage screenshots.. what's the ETA on this? Anyone know what the PC specs will be to get the game running like that? Hmmm, mortgage or a PC to run Rage.......
Still it's looking great and I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-108-HT&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=939
Pretty cheap mortgage ;) Game looks very impressive SOLD! Thanks for that.
As long as no one tells the SDF where I live, I should be ok  . Thanks Shellster  . It looked great when it was first announced, but now it looks pretty average. In fact it looks like Borderlands before that went all cell shaded. Aye, the comparison between those two games seems almost inevitable to me and personally I'm far more interested in "Borderlands". Lets see YOU do better. The headline shoulda been - "ID in outdoor environment shocker" Just what we need, another BROWN colored FPS. sweet. Good try, good try.. still not up to SVD's standard though. once again the text of this artice is misleading.
the edge magazine feature clearly conveys the message that id believe the ps3 version will be up to speed, but is currently slower at this stage of development...thats how I read it.
I would think id are not very happy that some of the text of the feature has been creatively drip fed onto the CVG site to stir up a fuss. Next time Edge want an interview with id they might get the blunt end of a double barreled shot gun. Hahaha. And by the looks of those rocks, outdoor environments are still a bit alien to the id guys. The sky looks good though. I guess they can see sky from their office windows. The driving parts will no doubt be the quality you'd expect in your average first or third person shooter. Can't wait to see the game engine in the hands of other developers though. nice screens, but do we expect anything less from ID, lets hope they have moved on from the gun&run-onrails gameplay, cos TBH i don't think they will beat HL2 on that score.
but like what someone said above, looking forward to Borderlands more at the moment. |
