Mega Man II iPhone shots

Out now and there's even a demo to download
Capcom's strictly hardcore, yet classic platformer, has been given an iPhone release. Here are some features to get stuck into.

  • Utilize top-down virtual game controls in either portrait or landscape.
  • Classic Mode for hardcore Mega Man fans.
  • Experience all 14 levels of the game with differing terrains, action and bosses including Metal Man, Flash Man, Quick Man, Bubble Man, Heat Man, Wood Man, Air Man and Crash Man.
  • Assemble a diverse arsenal of weapons including the Metal Blade, Time-Stopper, Quick-Boomerang, Bubble Lead, Atomic Fire and Leaf Shield.
  • Utilize virtual arcade controls to control the blue bomber.
  • Rebalanced gameplay for the iPhone experience.

Rebalanced gameplay??

Haha, PR jargon for 'made easy for iphone gamers'.I cant imagine how bad it would be on those controls.

Actually, you'd be surprised at how good controls are on the iphone.

I'd say the iPhone's touch screen games have more imagination and better uses for it than the DS has.

Graphics are also better.

yes because rereleases of ancient console games and being able to swoosh the phone round like a lightsaber are definately better than remakes of Final Fantasy III and IV or The Ace Attourney games.

I haven't played many iPhone games yet, but the ones that give you a virtual D-pad seem to end up being unresponsive to slides from one direction to the other.

The controls would need to be spot on for a seriously hardcore title like that to be playable, so maybe that's why they've "rebalanced".

This has been out a while. Still difficult - controls don't help.
