That strikes me as an impressive list. Sadly I expect the price will be too. This will not be a buy-upon-release title for me.

After seeing that greatly improved setlist (over world tour's mostly mediocre offerings) i think i'll be picking me up a copy.

I'm sick of Activisions refusal to feed guitar hero through DLC.

There are loads of songs on the greatest hits game I'd love to play again, but that could have easily been done over DLC, but no, you have to buy a whole new game.

Harmonix have proved that DLC works as a business model, it keeps income flowing for the game makers, and keeps the game fresh for the gamers with new music every week.

I think I'm done with Guitar hero now, the DLC offerings on Rock Band sway it for me.

Couldn't agree with you more.

Guitar Hero is just a shadow of it's former self. Once again there are about ten songs i'd like to play. I mean, Stevie Wonder? I love the song, but really? It's almost like they get several great artists on board, and then scrape the barrel for the rest.

They are literally just throwing additions in for the sake of it. 4 drummers, four guitarists....what's the point?

Rock band outshines GH visually, and by the constant DLC. Some of it isn't to everyones choice, such as the country music, but hey, at least you can choose. Look at the DLC released over the last year for World Tour....absolutely shambolic compared to what Rock Band has to offer.

I know it's the difference between apples and apples, but as far as i'm concerned Rock Band is just the better game.

Hmm pretty good set list but i don't think i'll be getting it any time soon as The Beatles Rock Band is coming out in sept and i'd prefer that. Also i think GH has dropped the ball, they've sold themselves out.

A recognised track doesn't necessarily mean a fun one to play.

If you ask me I think the majority of relative unknowns from GH2 where fantastic, such as the amazing crowns and the toadies, that game still stands as the most fun to play for me and the series has gone downhill since.

I agree. There are some great songs i've never heard of that play well, but i'd rather play a song i know with the charting way off than something i've never heard of that plays like a dog.

And i agree with you about GH2....the best game out of the lot. Just got worse since.....

Yeah, I agree with what your saying about going into familiar ground, but it does go both ways.

Its equally disappointing when I play a song that I not only know, I LOVE, and it turns about to be as boring as piss to get through.

true....true.....

I do feel that even though i like the hammer ons/off in Guitar Hero, the charting is better on Rock Band. The actual button flows in Guitar Hero flow better, but the way the charts are layed out in Rock Band are a whole lot better.

If only they could merge the two......

Let's not merge the two. The timing on GHWT is so lenient you hardly need any skill at all.
Rock Band is more about the feeling of playing the music and GH is more about following complex colour patterns.

FINALLY PLUG IN BABY IS PUT ON :)

Plus I think Matthew Bellamy is a playable character :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ultimately, Guitar Hero is shite. Plain and simple

Sowing Season...f*ck yes!

very pop rock oriented.

they should release playlist packs according to genre through psn or xbl.

Ironically, we all harp on about the "glory days" of guitar hero, and how it's gone down hill since #2 - Harmonix MADE guitar hero 1 & 2, it's more than a coincidence that the games since they left have sucked, and people prefer Rock Band - guess what, a Harmonix game.

GH is like a hollywood blockbuster, and Rock Band some indie film. People keep buying tickets to see the latest premier, but more and more people are coming around to arthouse.
