Game & Watch games come to DSiWare

Handheld classics for 200 Points each
Nintendo's revealed that old school Game & Watch games will be arriving on the Japanese DSiWare.

The first batch of titles will be out next Wednesday in the Far East with Ball, Vermin, Flagman and Judge all available for 200 Points each says ONM.

Two weeks later Helmet and Chef will be released along with Donkey Kong Jr, Mario's Cement Factory and Manhole in August.

Nothing's confirmed yet, but we'd imagine these will also be headed to the UK DSiWare shop too.

Here's the Japanese schedule:

July 15
Ball (200 Points)
Vermin (200 Points)
Flagman (200 Points)
Judge (200 Points)

July 29
Helmet (200 Points)
Chef (200 Points)

August
Donkey Kong Jr (200 Points)
Mario's Cement Factory (200 Points)
Manhole (200 Points)

Leave it alone Nintendo

You used to be good, but stop living in the past.

Make some new games, and by 'games' I mean propper games

Fire was always my favourite.
Would be nice if they just made a new Game & Watch Gallery instead, or even just started making Game & Watch games again - I can't imagine they'd be that expensive to produce these days.

I like retro downloads, however if Nintendo are going to be releasing original Game Boy games at some point in the future, I would rather buy the 5-in-one Game & Watch collection (with better graphics) for say 500 points, rather than original G&W games for 200.

The G&W games should be free...

I agree, the G & W games should be free.

I quite like Retro games, but Game and Watch is surely just taking it too far. Maybe i just haven't played enough of them, but in my experience they were shit then and they are still shit now.
