My understanding is that Rockstar offered the DLC to both MS and Sony, and Sony chose not to take them up. And what of R* North, did they literally have Nico holding a Gun to their head, forcing them to deal with MS?

agent you mean?! the game will not fit onto a single 9GB DVD and its a sandbox game. the housers spoke out about the 360 limiting what they could do for GTA4 on the consoles and that they maxed out the space on the DVD. they are very creative and dont want that restriction. working on the ps3 only, they dont have to worry about that. Exactly. The DLC deal was there to sway people into buying the 360, simple as that.

When the Ghostbusters exclusivity deal was announced, I think a lot of people were annoyed because it was so close to release (not me, I have zero interest in the game - I'd probably get the Wii version, if any). I can't say that I've seen too much bad blood over the PS3 exclusive Joker though.
I'm sure that you can see that my post was pretty much squarely aimed at SVD - the guy's going to give himself a heart attack if he keeps banging on about GTA4 DLC....not to mention how utterly monotonous it all is for the rest of us.

DLC was factored in also, still prefered the ps3 version.

In case nobody noticed, this forum thread is about Ghostbusters not GTA. Or Agent.
Ghostbusters plays better on the Xbox (slightly) according to the benchmarks that Eurogamer conducted - environemntal damage/full Hi Def cut scenes... But my point was about the exclusivity deal.
I'm not saying MS were right to "buy out" the GTAIV content, or that Sony were wrong to capitalise on their intellectual property, but the WAY Sony did it - leaving Xbox/PC/Wii gamers until 2 weeks prior to release date and THEN announcing they wouldn't release it IN EUROPE until October. The only versions available in the meantime being the shit 360 knock off and the shit motionless Wii knock off.
If Sony had laid their cards on the table earlier it would have been less cynical. I didn't own a PS3 or a 360 when they announced the GTA exclusivity. In fact I had a PS2, but this drove me to buy the 360 over the PS3 (that and the price!). What exactly are Sony acheiving? Driving down sales of their own license (in Europe) by releasing 3 of the 5 versions at a highly competitive time of year. It's not driving system sales either, since GB is hardly a triple A license and most of the people who would buy it already own the platform they'd buy it on; in other words NOT a system seller like Halo or LBP (or GTAIV!)!
Oh, and GTA started on the PC, not the ****ing PS2. And yes, I was a die hard fan of it on the PS2, but now I'm a die hard fan of it on the Xbox. I played GTA and GTA II on my PC, upgraded to a PS2 for III et al and upgraded to a 360 for IV. I honestly think someone could release a game where you simply slide a turd around the screen with no discernable aim or goal, smearing the inside of your monitor with brown stains and as long as it was a Sony exclusive, SVD_Grasshopper would crow about it endlessly...

Personally i think the wii version of ghostbusters is my favourite becasue the controls work exactly as you'd want them too. Also i don't think its sales will be too badly effected by the EU delay in comparison to the 360 version as it could only be imported if you'd already tinkered with your wii and theres not much competition against it this christmas apart from new super mario bros wii. »

Go to N4G.com and see the "The Agency isn't exclusive anymore!" article. got ghostbusters on my ps3, I think it's deadly, if you're a fan you should give it a go if you can. As for Ghostbusters, I have completed it on both consoles (maybe you should before mouthing off??)and there is no way on this earth that the PS3 version is any better. Graphically the 360 version has more detail but there really isnt anything to shout about between the two. That's rich coming from you. Seems like half the time you're hellbent on instigating an early heart attack for yourself with various angry, reactionary rants and ravings.

That makes little sense since it splits the word "ego". It would have to be "e-ego" which just looks more like you have written stuttering, or chattering teeth. you also forgot the other obvious mistake that abbreviations are punctuated by the use off a full stop, not a dash.
it should have been E.EGO but even still abbreviations break things down into thier first letters, so really its E.E.
