However, I can't see how the developers can argue that Brutal Legends is in some way a threat to Guitar Hero. They are totally different genres! :?
Either way, I hope Activision don't do us all out of another game this xmas... :x I don't even want Brutal Legend, but I hope to god Double Fine and EA win just because it would get on Activision's nerves. i think it'll get released.
Its being backed by EA, and there'd be too much of a backlash if it didn't.
Also Activision don't have a leg to stand on.
I can see how it would be a contender against Guitar Hero as they are both games that appeal to the musically minded. However i'd much prefer to play Brutal Legend than Guitar hero. I'm not gonna get it, because I want it for the PC. But it'd be a damn shame if it didn't come out at all. It does look fun! How can it be a threat to Guitar Hero? Thats like saying Jet Set Willy's a threat to Forza 3. They're not in the same ballpark. not really. they are both games about rock music. they might not be the same genre gameplaywise, but they thematically. Please dont let it be so. it seems this game might just be the perfect chill out game, looks great and the voice acting is top notch, but to say it will remove some gloss of the guitar hero franchise may or not be true. One thing tho at least it will be fun unlike the latter I think it will get released, and I hope it sells a sh*tload when it does. Activision deserve taking down a peg or ten. Double Fine should put a big "f*ck you Activision" sticker on the box if they win!. :lol: |
